This is truly unique. Finally a story completely different and intensely thought provoking. Could have been longer and more in-depth but still worth the time.

Fresh and Outstanding

I really love this young version Jesse. It breaths some much needed new life into the original series. The building of a great main character and friends. Love how they get the bad guys in this series before the access to all the high end weapons they have in the original series. So it's a little more incentive in down to earth sorta way. Decided to go back and read the original series when Jesse is retired from Marine Corps. It made the original series even better.

Loved both stories

I bought this book because of Elizabeth Hunters story, A Very Proper Monster, which I loved. This is the first story by Grace Draven but will not be the last. It kept me truly riveted. I wish the book was still available in kindle. However, each story is now available as seperate books but audible version is only in this compilation. Gaslight Hades by Grace Draven and A Very Proper Monster by Elizabeth Hunter. Purchase the audible version it is well worth it.

Engaging, Smart and Suspenseful

Love all the earlier Jack Ryan books. Narration was top notch. Of course, in my head, I picture Harrison Ford from Patriot Games. It takes truly professional narration with the ability to know without question what character is speaking and the emotions being portrayed to submerse yourself into a story. Just really enjoyed escaping the world for awhile.

I can't get enough

Truly love this 7 books in this series and the 3 books in the series that immediately follows and completes this series that starts with Sorcery Reborn. I have listened to and re-read them so many times. Each book is like getting two stories in one but super easy to follow. Once you start you don't want to stop.

One of the best

This was really one of the best stories in the entire series. People have complained about audio issues in some reviews. I can honestly say, if their were, I didn't notice them. I was so immersed in the story, I can't tell you what I made for dinner. Lots of amazing adventure, history and dangerous deadly situations. In other words a Dirk Pitt story.

Love this series and don't forget the novellas. They really add to the overall story. The true first book in this series is Pleasure Unbound. It starts with Eidalon, one of the sem brothers and the head doctor at the underworld hospital. Continues with his brothers and sister. Then these books with the 4 horseman, then next is the Angels starting with Reaver. But don't forget Azagoth one of those novellas. Finish one book and you can't wait to read the next, which I'm reading & listening to this series for the 7th time. Love it

I can't get enough of this series. I'm thrilled Mr Tumlinson choose to give this genre a try. He's definitely found his best style. I've read and reread all of this series. I'm looking forward to more of the audio books to catch up to all this series published books. Excellent writing style and the story isn't like others in this genre. Although, it's crosses several genre's. Really original stories. I read them the day their released and don't put them down until I finish. Good choice of narrator. Starting to re-listen to the series again now. Great work Mr Tumlinson!

This is the book you will go back and read and/listen to many times. There are enough descriptions of this book in the other reviews. I want you to know that it makes you feel hopeful when you finish reading. What more can you ask for, you get to escape, be entertained with a thought provoking book that leaves you feeling hopeful.
