I enjoyed the characters and the story itself, but the writing was a bit juvenile and the story was predictable. Maybe that’s the point though, an easy predictable feel good story.

Not entirely what I was expecting but still enlightening

I thought the book was going to be more about Trump, and his secrets. The author did do a great job of explaining why he likely is the way he is, Which was very interesting. However, she spent more than the first half of the book glorifying her own father, Freddie Trump, and entirely blaming her fathers early death, alcoholism and poor lifestyle choices on her grandfather, while in fact her father actually had zero interest in his own father’s business. There is definite jealousy and a sense of entitlement to a greater inheritance, however, she realizes the money was money that was not earned through honesty and hard work. Mostly it was just the last hour of this audiobook that really went into Trump and his presidency and His financial issues. Overall I did like the book. I did not love it though.

I read the book AND listened to it

In the book was as amazing and uplifting both times. I will be sending a copy of this book to my parents, and to anyone else in the future that I know would benefit from this. Monica is so gifted has brought so much comfort and healing to me and my family. She answers so many questions in this book, and answers them beautifully and in such detail. I would give this book 6 stars if I could. I’ll be keeping it forever

Very informative

After listening to the China study and the starch solution, I thought I knew it all. Dr. Gregor does an awesome job explaining some of the previous things I learned earlier in greater detail and goes into more detail of what to eat and not eat on a Whole Foods plant based diet, and why. Very glad I got this book!

I am so grateful that Yolanda has shared her incredible journey through this book. I could not stop listening! I was sucked in through the end. I feel like Lyme disease is all around me in my family and it seems to be spreading like wildfire. I wish everyone would read or listen to this book to spread the awareness of this nasty disease. Thank you, Yolanda for sharing your fearless and courageous story.

So glad I found this book

I feel compelled to write a review. There is no way I would be this armed with Lyme information had it not been for this book. All of the other research I had done online only left me more confused, but Dr. Horowitz has very nicely put together this jigsaw of a puzzle that Lyme and MSIDs is. The presenter did about as good of a job as anyone could do when reading essentially a medical book. I would recommend to everyone wanting to really know all about Lyme.

As an American I had a hard time at first adjusting to the Irish accent and picking up on the slang lingo, but the story it self was great the author is so creative and it was so well written I felt like I was living the story with the characters.

I laughed and I cried

As a therapist who has worked with many patients with neglect, the accuracy of which this fictional book was written of someone with neglect was done so beautifully. The humor, which I think was supposed to be subtle, wasn't to me, and it really made me laugh out loud. The only thing that made me cringe was the gait patten the author has the main character use with her quad cane... It's supposed to be cane first, then the injured/opposite leg, and then the good leg. I'll give her some slack there though. . . She probably thought that from watching the tv show House, as Dr. House also incorrectly uses his cane ;)
