A MUST READ
Revisado: 12-13-23
I am not a fan of the science part. I’ve been reading books like this for 30 years. However, after you get past the science Shawn talks with humor about ideas and advice i have never heard before. I loved it.. new concepts new ways to think of things new ways to handle our thoughts and schedules. It’s totally worth reading for his brilliant advice. I am going back to re-listen and take notes. I’m very impressed. I connected with a lot that he said. This is a must read if you’re sick of the standard advice.
His approach is refreshing and doable. Thank you for a wonderful book of practical advice that might help me meet my health goals this year.

Historia
For a long time, Edie thought she had escaped. It started in an Appalachian trailer park, where a young girl dreamed of becoming a doctor. But every day Edie woke up to her reality: a poverty-stricken world full of alcohol and violence, where getting out seemed impossible. She taught herself to drive a stick shift truck at 12 years old so she could get her drunk daddy home from the bar. She spent Saturdays at Brushy Mountain prison visiting her incarcerated cousin. She watched adults eat while her stomach gnawed.

A must read
Revisado: 08-19-20
This book really held my attention with knowledge, humor and amazing insight. You can tell the author put a lot of time and effort into his writing. The book is long so I’m glad I got it on audible. It’s packed with valuable information. Not statistics but stories used as examples. I really learned a lot and found this book worth every penny. I highly recommend. Actually this was recommended to me so glad I gave it a try. If your struggling with trying to stay on a diet the information will help you view food in a different way. The author did the research all you need to do is listen and learn. I’m so excited by this book I’m going to listen to it all over again and this time take notes. Worth the read if you want to stop over eating and making food so important in your life.
