A 19th century Cinderella story. I’m glad to have given it a listen... also happy the romance package allowed me to listen to it without purchasing it forever. Because I wouldn’t have wanted to keep it.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

It is difficult to pinpoint any great factor in this book that made it so bad. The heroine as a character wasn't well developed. I never really got into the story to really care about what would happen to her.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

This story has just been done... Over and over... And Laurann Dohner and Lara Adrian did it better... You have the beast men, the vampire men, the twin men (which hasn't been done, but just sounds uber kinky... I mean they have to share a mate and a child or something if, that is, a child happens? - Weird! But I'm sure that'll be a whole other book in the series. Anyways, so all these guys are all aliens saving the planet from invasion and require a human girl for a mate.... Yeah... Um... Ok... I guess she does explain it better than that but It is a seriously long, drawn out story that doesn't have enough substance to be worth more than 3 stars for borrowing it... But I gave it two stars because I bought it.

Would you be willing to try another one of Anne Johnstonbrown’s performances?

No, I will probably avoid this reader. :( Sorry if you like her, but she doesn't get into the reading very much really... Often you catch her just "reading word by word monotone" and her male voice isn't that great... Although I kinda like her villain voice.

Was Claimed worth the listening time?

No, it could have been 4 hours shorter... Come to think of it, it should have been then I would probably recommend it more.?

I definitely didn't love this story.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Nope - the heroine's personality was just not that interesting. Or was it the hero's personality that left little to be desired? Both. It was definitely both.

I like Rachel Gibson, even though her hockey team series was so much like Susan Elizabeth Phillips' football team series, I still think her writing can be cute and fun. This story was just boring.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Tanya Eby?

I don't know, it's tough. Anna Fields would have been great. (RIP Anna) Tanya just has a lisp or something that she does with her s's. It's tough to get into a hero that has a lisp (especially one that isn't that interesting to begin with) you know what I mean?
