Historia
Over two grim nights in Los Angeles, the young followers of Charles Manson murdered seven people, including the actress Sharon Tate, then eight months pregnant. With no mercy and seemingly no motive, the Manson Family followed their leader's every order. Twenty years ago, when journalist Tom O'Neill was reporting a magazine piece about the murders, he worried there was nothing new to say. Then he unearthed shocking evidence of a cover-up behind the "official" story, including police carelessness, legal misconduct, and potential surveillance by intelligence agents.

It’s Not so much about Manson as the government and what they are hiding
Revisado: 01-03-25
Great story. Tedious yet very interesting informative and engaging. The connections the secrets. It’s not surprising (at least for me) but yet surprising in that some
Of these secrets and illegal activities by the government were done in plain sight. But if you don’t have all the pieces on the surface it can be perceived as nothing. Glad I listened to it. Would definitely recommend!

Great articulation of reframing: “living your best life!”
Revisado: 04-16-24
Reframing thoughts, habits, goals, problem sets was spot on. I often over think, get anchored in perfect solutions that leave me stuck. I will definitely be applying the “try stuff” and reframing my life’s journey. If you are trying to figure out what to do with your life, how to get out of a rut, this is definitely a fantastic place to start. Even in 2024!
Buy the book, it was sooo good.

Historia
Beelzebub, the prince of demons, is bored. It's his destiny to one day rule the dark underworld known as the Red Realm, but it's sooo boring down there. All he wants to do is lay around all day in the lava pits (ahhh), boss everyone around (rude!), and maybe play a cruel prank (or two). But Beelzebub's father has had it with his son's nasty attitude. No one backtalks the Red King. NO ONE. A disgraced Beelzebub is banished by his father and cursed to spend his days in the worst place either of them can imagine. EARTH.

overall good, but visual descriptors missing
Revisado: 02-09-20
Feel like for a younger audience. however, even with imagination, with sound effects, couldn't always tell what happened and was left hoping I guessed right. some outside narrative would have been helpful in knowing what was happening. example: when kids went into Hell, all you heard was noise, and didn't realize when Lucy said, "do I have to do everything," what exactly she did. you just eventually realize they crossed over into the Red Realm.
good story about love, family, and acceptance.

Realistic
Revisado: 05-16-19
Realistic examples and applicable at work or home or with friends.
Enjoyed the spelled out examples. Often writers tell you “the what” without giving you “the how;” leaving one to guess how to execute the lessons learned. That can lead to further miscommunication and frustration when attempting to implement “the what.” Without a positive result.

Great Book and Reader!!
Revisado: 02-19-17
I loved the reality of the book. This is definitely something that can happen and that it appears we are not prepared for.
The reader was phenomenal. Truly bringing emotion and truth in the words of the book. Very gripping and drew me in. Even in the moment of John trying to drop a message to his old friend MG Scales. Left me on the edge of my seat if he would survive and if the message would make it. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire series; wanting more and for it to not end.
Would recommend this book to anyone.

Great Story Proper Ending
Revisado: 12-25-15
Where does Spring's Gentle Promise rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
At the top of the list. The entire Series
What other book might you compare Spring's Gentle Promise to and why?
Jannette Oke does a phenomenal job with the entire series.
Which scene was your favorite?
There were so many. But I loved the part where Josh realized God is his strength. That even in the good and bad, it is not by our works but by the hand of God.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Family, Friends, Love, Courage and Faith
Any additional comments?
I liked the narrator and how he conveyed the story. I loved the expression of Faith and even doubt. Sometimes there is always a happy story, written as if one always has faith and that everything is good. This book takes you on a journey of good and bad times, pain, heartache and Joy. But shows that we can always turn to God and Christ. To live and share love and the importance of family. To give to one another. To love God and family. It takes you through childhood and adulthood and relatable growing pains. How wonderful a book series. It has helped me to look at things differently and the desire to be better. For me, this book held a life changing perspective of how to honor myself, others, and God. And how to trust more in Him.
You will thoroughly be blessed and encouraged by this book. Its a great read for anyone who has experienced love, pain, joy, and want to learn how to trust in God more and to cherish their loved ones.
