After four years at the country’s top culinary school and several years as head chef in her mother’s restaurant, Rowan Townsend has built a notable reputation. Her farm-to-table collard greens have long been bringing everyone to the yard, but limits on the restaurant’s size have led to long waits. Historia
The stories in How to Write an Emotionally Resonant Werewolf Novel were written during the tumultuous years following the global financial crisis. They show us glimpses of ourselves as we fold shirts for minimum wage at the mall, scrape together rent money from tips earned waiting tables, stay up until three a.m. playing video games, skip school, skip work, smoke cigarettes, watch resignedly as our nation marches to war, cheat on the people we love, linger at night on their social media pages, and find ourselves suddenly alone and at peace, standing on a hilltop with birds.

great narrator!
Revisado: 06-27-21
fantastic narrator, I became so immersed i could barely tell it was just one person and not a ensemble cast.
I enjoyed how each short story lead to the other by some common theme, I had fun guessing what would be the next common thread.

Historia
On an island off the coast of Ireland, guests gather to celebrate two people joining their lives together as one. The groom: handsome and charming, a rising television star. The bride: smart and ambitious, a magazine publisher. It’s a wedding for a magazine or for a celebrity: the designer dress, the remote location, the luxe party favors, the boutique whiskey. The cell phone service may be spotty and the waves may be rough, but every detail has been expertly planned and will be expertly executed.

Where's my murder and mystery?????
Revisado: 01-04-21
i don't really think this counts as a murder mystery. the whole book is just drama, self flatulence, and slowly divulging how everyone is connected.
While also trying really hard to remind you that its supposed to be spooky and ominous.
you don't even find out about rhe murder until the very end of the book, and honestly its not a very good ending for anyone.
I'm not saying that the story is bad, i enjoyed the drama and hannah is a peach.
but if you came here for a good ol murder mystery fun time I'd read something else, this isn't it.

Don't waste your money and time
Revisado: 11-03-20
20 hours of multiple stories that have the potential to go somewhere, prepares to go somewhere, but goes no where.
it makes no sense, leaves you with more questions than answers.
a very frustrating read.
doesn't help that you rarely know when the narrator starts a new chapter until shes about a full paragraph or 2 in, just a giant cluster fuck over all.

Historia
Sophie works for the local florist, so she's part of every big event in her small hometown, delivering flowers and making sure things run smoothly (which they almost never do). This year, Sophie has tons of events to get through - including a wedding, a funeral, a Valentine's Day party, a Fourth of July cookout, Thanksgiving, and a New Year's Eve bash. And at each event, she runs into Andrew, the distractingly cute - and annoyingly pompous - guy working for the local caterer.

texan stereotypes
Revisado: 03-24-20
story was enjoyable, not crazy about the narration.
besides using a stereotypical twangy accent for each texan character that lived in AUSTIN, home of the many hipsters not honky tonk cowboys.
and this is just a small thing, but the way she pronounced some of the words was very disconnecting.
like whenever she said the word appreciate or appreciating, she says it with no R.
it was weird and hit me every time she said it, which was a lot.
