Historia
Based on extensive research and interviews with some of the participants, Browne - a contributing editor at Rolling Stone and author of Fire and Rain and Dream Brother - vividly chronicles the year America went rock & roll in everything from politics to technology. The Spirit of '76 will make you think anew about an under-appreciated moment in the country - and will make you wonder if its optimistic, can-do spirit of reinvention and renewal will ever come again.

Pleasantly Surprised
Revisado: 10-25-22
This turned out to be a pleasant, casual read. Music, Politics, Comedy, Technology...a great mix of historical events.
The narrating was super pleasant.

Historia
Now at last Keith Richards pauses to tell his story in the most anticipated autobiography in decades. And what a story! Listening obsessively to Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters records in a coldwater flat with Mick Jagger and Brian Jones, building a sound and a band out of music they loved. Finding fame and success as a bad-boy band, only to find themselves challenged by authorities everywhere....

Don't Give Up!
Revisado: 08-23-22
Absolutely loved this. I'm so glad I stuck with it.
Unfortunately, Johnny was droll. I was so looking forward to him reading. Even if he didn't use a Cap Jack voice, he could've been much more animated.
As for all the other narrations, it was most enjoyable.
This story was completely unexpected. I have always liked Richards, but assumed he was the typical Rockstar. This story gave me a complete new view on Richards. He's brilliant, funny, reserved, and shy? Man, I so adore him!
Whether you are a long time fan of the Rolling Stones, a new fan, a fan of music, or a fan of history and biographies, there is something here for everyone. An expansive look back into the beginnings of rock music, a prolific band, and a curious guitarist, turned rockstar. It's fun, shocking, and some times sad... it's got everything you want in a Rockstar history.

Historia
For many, the name Jimi Hendrix conjures up a larger-than-life image of the man who set fire to guitars, women's hearts, and the status quo. In this groundbreaking account, music journalist Charles R. Cross takes a far deeper look. Beyond Hendrix's legendary onstage and offstage magnetism, and his excessive lifestyle, was a man who struggled to accept his role as an idol and privately craved the kind of normal family life he never had.

Great Listen Even with High Distractabilty

I'm not well- versed in Hendricks history, but it seems well researched.
Voiced well enough to look into other books he has narrated.
