Historia
Billy Todd has always been different. Most people called him odd, and those were the nice people. Though he was born with a learning disability, Billy's parents never allowed him to consider himself disabled. Raised to be self-sufficient, Billy might not be as smart as some, but he was a lot smarter than people realized.

Long and Boring
Revisado: 01-04-20
Because of the great reviews I stuck with this for 50 chapters before cutting my losses. Not a single likable, or unlikable character. Maybe the plague only affected the people with personality? Don't waste a credit.

Historia
In the summer of 1862, a group of young artists led by the passionate and talented Edward Radcliffe descends upon Birchwood Manor in rural Oxfordshire. Their plan: to spend a secluded summer month in a haze of inspiration and creativity. But by the time their stay is over, one woman has been shot dead while another has disappeared; a priceless heirloom is missing; and Edward Radcliffe’s life is in ruins. Over 150 years later, Elodie Winslow, a young archivist in London, uncovers a leather satchel containing two seemingly unrelated items.

the non-ending ruined it for me
Revisado: 10-27-18
as with many recent books the ending left much for the reader to assume. I prefer clean finish and, although I did love the book, at the end it just felt like the writer tired of the story and wanted to be done.

Historia
Written with astonishing clarity and evocative detail, convincing in its depiction of emotional pain, love, and vulnerability,
Harvesting the Heart recalls the writing of Alice Hoffman and Sue Miller. Paige has only a few vivid memories of her mother, who left when she was five. Now, having left her father behind in Chicago for dreams of art school and marriage to an ambitious young doctor, she finds herself with a child of her own.
