Historia
Guy Montag is a fireman. In his world, where television rules and literature is on the brink of extinction, firemen start fires rather than put them out. His job is to destroy the most illegal of commodities, the printed book, along with the houses in which they are hidden. Montag never questions the destruction and ruin his actions produce, returning each day to his bland life and wife, Mildred, who spends all day with her television "family."

Wonderful. Read.
Revisado: 03-03-22
I am reading this for my first time at 39 years old.
For all intense and purposes, this "Antique"novel is taking place in my current year of 2022, and I was moved beyond words by the authors illustrative passion for a time in which he never lived, but captured the sentiment of, nonetheless.
The narrator conveyed the depth and sentiment of the writing to sucha a sweeping degree, you could find yourself nothing less than entranced.

If the story in and of it's self wasn't compelling enough as a stand alone audio book, the Graphic Audio Poduction took it to the next immersive level.
This is the last of the GAP for this series, but I will absolutely be finishing the remaining books as read, because I can't wait to see what happens next.

10/10 stars!!!
Revisado: 07-22-21
If you like the science fiction genre, this book was amazing from start to finish.. I would give it 10 stars if I could! Narrator did an AMAZING job capturing and articulating the spirit of the story and kept my attention 100% of the time, which is hard for me even with a great book..
The story was SO RIVETING, I found myself listening outside of my normal Audible times..
This was the first book I've listened to where I applauded the ending, and I have listened to many, and I'm including my printed favorites as well.

Historia
After a long and eventful life, Allan Karlsson ends up in a nursing home, believing it to be his last stop. The only problem is that he's still in good health, and in one day, he turns 100. A big celebration is in the works, but Allan really isn't interested (and he'd like a bit more control over his vodka consumption). So he decides to escape. He climbs out the window in his slippers and embarks on a hilarious and entirely unexpected journey, involving, among other surprises, a suitcase stuffed with cash.

Historia
Written at the request of Charles Dickens, North and South is a book about rebellion that poses fundamental questions about the nature of social authority and obedience. Gaskell expertly blends individual feeling with social concern and her heroine, Margaret Hale, is one of the most original creations of Victorian literature. When Margaret Hale's father leaves the Church in a crisis of conscience she is forced to leave her comfortable home in the tranquil countryside of Hampshire....

Historia
The narrator of Atwood's riveting novel calls himself Snowman. When the story opens, he is sleeping in a tree, wearing an old bedsheet, mourning the loss of his beloved Oryx and his best friend Crake, and slowly starving to death. He searches for supplies in a wasteland where insects proliferate and pigoons and wolvogs ravage the pleeblands, where ordinary people once lived, and the Compounds that sheltered the extraordinary. As he tries to piece together what has taken place, the narrative shifts to decades earlier. How did everything fall apart so quickly?

Historia
Narrator Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.
