I enjoyed all of the Sensible Shoes books, and wished there were more. The devotional side of the book would be great to explore with a group, or alone.

I rather regret purchasing audiobook instead of an actual book, because I would have preferred to underline much of the more weightier sections and questions that were asked. I definitely feel challenged in my walk with God after listening to this book. I've already purchased the next book in her series, and I'm looking forward to reading it.

My Favorite Book!

Maybe I was more interested in this than some might be because I had an adopted brother. However, I think Lisa Wingate with Emily Rankin are a winning team. Lisa is exceptional at portraying all different kinds of characters, plots, and place settings. Emily also did a fabulous job with each of those characters. Is this a motion picture yet? It should be.

profanity was a big turn off for this southern gal

Ivan has a very gifted imagination and humorous storytelling ability, however I struggled to continue with this book due to his frequent use of unnecessary profanity from the protagonist 11 year old boy. For those who are used to sailor talk, this is ideal entertainment.
