Awesome Story!
Revisado: 03-09-22
I love the story! It’s fast paced, just what you would expect from the writers! I wanted to share it with some younger folks, but it is a bit too much. I am sad. But it’s great to know that just like what happened to Rose, one of my friends was in the same situation, and Jesus Christ set her free! I am still amazed, that one of the most bubbly people I know- was used so terribly.

A Gentle Story About God’s Love
Revisado: 08-01-21
I liked this inspirational story. The author has been through tough times, that some might think would keep God from using her, but they are wrong. God uses imperfect people, in second Corinthians 12:9 He said His Grace is enough, because His Power is made perfect in weakness.

Combined sales of over 250,000 copies demonstrate the terrific impact Robert Lesslie's first three books have had on readers. In Angels on the Night Shift, the fourth book based on his 30 years' experience in the ER, Dr. Lesslie draws open the curtain on the lives, the dramas, even the loves hidden away behind hospital walls - events that, day and night, reveal nurses, doctors, patients, friends, even strangers to be "angels" in disguise.

The Life and Death and Almost Death of an ED
Revisado: 05-24-21
I love this book because it mentions a little girl who sees ladies waiting for her, as she gets ready to go to her Heavenly home. Emmie talks to the nurse and tells her that the ladies like the nurse. I don't know if it was real or not, but it gives me pause.
This book is amazing because it tells of mistakes made by the author while searching for a controlled substance thief. The thief was overlooked because she was a physician, the author accuses am awesome nurse instead. The physician goes through rehab, and seemingly tries to reach out to one of the people she harmed.

Millions of Karon fans will be thrilled that it's life as usual in the wildly popular Mitford series: A beloved town character lands a front-page obituary, but who was it, exactly, who died? And what about the former mayor, born the year Lindbergh landed in Paris, who's still running for office? All this, of course, is but a feather on the wind compared to Muse editor J. C. Hogan's desperate attempts to find a cure for his marital woes. Will it be high-def TV or his pork chop marinade?

Every Life Has Opportunities From God
Revisado: 02-18-21
Sometimes life seems without opportunities, but God gives Grace and Mercy! Like the Bible has stories of people making bad decisions and God using them for good- like when Joseph was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers- and God using it to save Joseph’s family - so mistakes by the Barlowe family are used by God for good. Kenny Barlowe was sold by his mom for liquor- that’s how Kenny ended up with an amazing set of grandparents who raised him. Dooley Barlowe is likewise abandoned by his mother, and ends up adopted by Father Tim. Life is hard for Dooley, but God is there, and God provides a way.

Walking Through the Valley
Revisado: 08-05-19
Jesus walks with us through the Valley of the Shadow of Death. God is faithful. If we seek Him, we will find Him. The doctor quotes many verses, like 'Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.'.
Sometimes, God cures in a supernatural way - and Dr. Walker - relates some of the miracles and challenges of the ICU. It is an encouraging book to read and hear.

It's easy to feel at home in Mitford. In these high, green hills, the air is pure, the village is charming, and the people are generally lovable. Yet Father Tim, the bachelor rector, wants something more. Enter a dog the size of a sofa who moves in and won't go away. Add an attractive neighbor who begins wearing a path through the hedge. Now, stir in a lovable but unloved boy, a mystifying jewel theft, and a secret that's 60 years old.

There is good even when bad things happen
Revisado: 03-27-19
'At Home in Mitford' is an encouraging book.It reinforced my faith. Things happen that seem bad, but through it all, God's providence is seen. God uses broken people to do amazing things. I like this- I just gave one of these books away. Hopefully, I can do it again. The world needs to know that broken people can be mended!

In the postwar years, MGM adapted many of its movie properties for radio, and one of its most successful transfers was The Story of Dr. Kildare, starring Lew Ayers in the title role of Lionel Barrymore as his crusty, harrumphing mentor, Dr. Gillespie. As in the movies, the radio Kildare offers engrossing, well-produced medical melodramas revolving around the patients and staff at Blair Memorial Hospital.

The stories we listened to were sappy
Revisado: 02-21-19
I am sure some of the stories are interesting, but after for listening to more than an hour, we were not enthralled. The stories were sappy- some of the women had amnesia because of being overly emotional. I have heard some of the Dr. Kildare stories on Radio Classics- they were good. So far- we have not heard any classics. I hope to send this one back!
