Historia
One of the comedy world's fastest-rising stars tells his wild coming of age story during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa and the tumultuous days of freedom that followed. Noah provides something deeper than traditional memoirists: powerfully funny observations about how farcical political and social systems play out in our lives.

chilling mystery by a great narrator
Revisado: 01-20-20
the hand is a short story, which delves not into the supernatural as per its words itself but instead to the imaginative and inexplicable. it is is a chilling tale a mystery and as per usual BJ Harrison does a fantastic job in communicating both the facts of the story as well as portraying the narration with the drama and characteristics of the people and activities included within

It was the eye. The dull, sightless, vulture's eye that shredded his final nerve. But the murder was done so carefully, so perfectly, that only one thing could reveal the whereabouts of the body. B. J. Harrison gives a masterful reading of the famous murder that wouldn't keep quiet. This audiobook was the #3 best-selling audiobook in 2008 at the iTunes Music Store!

adds some more context to the Gettysburg address
Revisado: 01-18-20
this short listen gives you a little more info around the importance of the Gettysburg address
the performance of the context is okay enough though the recitation of Lincoln's speech leaves the listener wanting.

wow thanks I'm cured
Revisado: 01-13-20
this short Reed does not seem to do much more than many of our other seeming self-improvement books that have come as its ancestors. The struggle so frequently with them is it tells you the thought process behind doing things and gives plenty of great examples and of course we are meant to sit and conveniently accept them and then act upon them. is this a book that has new or more information or a more successful implementation than many others that followed it not that I can think of has this topic been covered time in and time again definitely one thing I would also note is that this as could potentially be expected has a rather patriarchal system at its core as well as is doing its best to really associate strength with a certain immutable menace as well as stoicness that I think can necessarily provide unhealthy emotional or mental challenges or the lack of visibility of such emotions and mental health either way it's a short Reed maybe something to go back to every once in awhile for a place of centeredness or solace or if you are someone who is fully ingrained and engage with this idea of stoicness as a fortunate trait

much better read than narrator
Revisado: 01-12-20
I read this in high school and found it an interesting read then, though not particularly engaging
the narration allows me to relive it but the language doesn't keep my attention as do other simpler language or more modern language.
I would recommend reading it one time and listening a few times to fully digest all the intricacies

a pleasurable introduction to chekov
Revisado: 01-12-20
I haven't read much of Chekhov, however I do enjoy this story. it reminds me of other Russian authors who I have right before. The book itself makes me feel conflicted and pensive, akin to how I felt amidst other similar authors. I've always been a fan of short stories because they can be so impactful, this book is the same.

The Gettysburg Address is a speech by US President Abraham Lincoln, one of the best known in American history. It was delivered by Lincoln during the American Civil War, on the afternoon of Thursday, November 19, 1863, at the dedication of the Soldiers' National Cemetery in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, four and a half months after the Union armies defeated those of the Confederacy at the Battle of Gettysburg.

short and enjoyable
Revisado: 01-12-20
this short but still relevant today speech is great to listen to the narrator includes very little affectations, but their use of emphasis goes a long way in adding to the sincerity and importance of the speech given me so many years ago today. it is still relevant for our day-to-day work, not only because it is a piece of our history, and also because the concepts that the speech is representative of as well as the history that it alludes to is something we should all take the time to remember more readily whether you are located within the country of its origin the United States or in a place where these battles are still being fought.
