Deceiving title. Don’t waste money or a credit

I made the mistake of not reading the full title description. The title made me think this was the next installment in the Women’s Murder Club. I would never have wasted a credit on a short from a series I enjoy bound up with two filler novellas. I would return it if I could.

Not as good as past installments

The first half was a bit of a trudge. I was half tempted to skip ahead. Too much extraneous “filler” that really didn’t contribute to the story. Barely touched the main characters of the series….I think that’s what was missing.

Go back to 3rd person narrative

The new first person narrative for Gentry is not a good change. It’s distracting and interrupts the flow of the story. Please, go back to the 3rd person narrative.

Please, get another narrator!

Please, get another narrator! She goes so slowly, it sounds like she’s drunk most of the time. The only reason I stuck with this book, is because I very much like the writing of Preston and Child. I knew there was a great story hidden behind the drudgery of the narrators voice.

I look forward to another adventure with These characters.

GET A DIFFERENT NARRATOR!!!

This narrator is horrible!!!! If I could have given the performance zero, heck negative stars, I would have, but you have to give at least one. I cannot stress this enough. It’s absolute torture to have to listen to her. It’s like listening to a sarcastic 8 year old for hours on end. She has no idea how to speak naturally. She doesn’t know where to put inflection in a sentence, so she just stresses random words! ABSOLUTE TORTURE!!!!
The story is great, otherwise I would have asked for my money back.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GET A DIFFERENT NARRATOR!

Downloaded in complete disarray

The book downloaded in complete disarray. It started at chapter 10 went to chapter 20 jumped back to chapter 1 through 9 then jumped to chapter 40 to the end then jumped back to chapter 30! I didn’t even realize it had jumped to chapter 40 until I reached he end! I obviously missed quite a bit. Good story though. I downloaded it a couple of times at the beginning, but it downloaded the same every time. I guess I should inform audible.
