Not as good as Part 1 and the author's other works
Revisado: 02-08-18
Feels like this was rushed to release/publication. it came out very quickly after part 1 and there's just not much here. Relatively short and boring. The good parts were great but I'm hoping for a return to form in the next part, or next book. Lou Cadle is very very good, narrator is very good, but this part was a dud. I'll still continue with the series and continue buying the author's works though. I have high hopes for part 3.

Historia
It's been seven years since the ash billowed into the atmosphere, triggering some of the harshest winters in recorded history. Populations are thinning. Food is scarce. Despair overwhelming. With no way to sustain order, societies collapsed, leaving people to fend for themselves. Clay and his sister Megan have taken a handful of orphaned children into their home -- a home soaring 16 stories into the sky.

Saccharine "survival" story.
Revisado: 08-30-17
Average post-apocalyptic tale with some adventerous highlights, particularly when the protagonist is on the road truly surviving. Otherwise, dull and predictable with conservative 1950's style character "development" and relationships. The narrator does a good enough job with adult male voices but female and children's voices are laughably bad and almost unlistenable. Buy "Gray" by Lou Cadle for good writing, great storytelling, and excellent narration. Skip this one until you've exhausted every other "survival" book.
