this book had me laughing a lot. I loved the authors inside into the junior high caste system and her protagonist couldn't have been cuter and gotten into more trouble. I like that little imp.

Historia
Author David Brooks explores the four commitments that define a life of meaning and purpose: to a spouse and family, to a vocation, to a philosophy or faith, and to a community. Our personal fulfillment depends on how well we choose and execute these commitments. Brooks looks at a range of people who have lived joyous, committed lives, and who have embraced the necessity and beauty of dependence. He gathers their wisdom on how to choose a partner, how to pick a vocation, how to live out a philosophy, and how we can begin to integrate our commitments into one overriding purpose.

David Brooks, The Sage
Revisado: 01-19-21
I was really surprised by this book. I have been a David Brooks fan for many many years and thought it would be more political. David is trying to change the world. he is showing time and time and time again that to live for others is the way to happiness and joining with other like Minds to heal this world is what we need to be doing. I agree. Am looking to find something wonderful in my town.

Historia
For a quarter-century, from the end of Watergate to the aftermath of the Cold War, no Republican won the presidency without his help or ran the White House without his advice. James Addison Baker III was the indispensable man for four presidents because he understood better than anyone how to make Washington work at a time when America was shaping events around the world. The Man Who Ran Washington is a pause-resisting portrait of a power broker who influenced America's destiny for generations.

Jim Bakker, what a life!
Revisado: 12-23-20
a detailed biography into the political world of James Baker, his talents, and his great friendship with George H bush. They brought each other to Greatness. If only Baker had not voted for Trump. I would trade him number 10.
