Bad narration editing

The narrator at kept character voices distinctive, which was good, but there were way too many sentence restarts in the narration. Seemed like at least one or two per chapter.

The characters were all just kind boring one dimensional anime tropes. I know there are multiple books in the series, but I can't say it held my interest enough to want to continue. The writing was just kinda "Meh", and the narration just took it down from there.

I liked the story quite a bit, but there was slang usage that seemed very out of place in this fantasy environment. The narration was absolutely terrible. Characters voices were completely indistinguishable.

Terrible narration

Story is disjointed and the narration is absolutely terrible. The narrator makes no attempts to differentiate voices. And who says “1000 1000” instead of “1,000,000”. This is another example of a story with potential but terrible execution. Virtual Voice sucks and still would have been better than this.

I keep trying new authors, and I keep regretting it. Potential is there and waisted on so called Taboo content. Well it's just too Taboo for me.

What a waist!

This book had lots of potential and could have been a fantastic harem dark fantasy. The world is creative and new, the MC is OP and unapologetic, and his system leave the possibilities endless. All that is completely ruined by two things: First, out of place anime style laughter that does not fit in dark fantasy. Second, and worst of all, INCEST! And not the step parent variety, or the you raised me but we are not blood, but the you are my mother, I am your son, and we look enough alike that people think we are siblings. I am so sad about this one because it could be an interesting harem dark fantasy story with loads MC domination of foes on a path to revenge but instead we got the grossest incestuous acts on repeat.
The audio book narration made the whole thing worst!
The narrator had the ability to do multiple voices but somehow used the wrong voice for the wrong characters. There were times she used a male voice for a female character or vice versa. This include using a girl voice for the MC at the most inopportune times.

The ending is a nightmare

I was enjoying everything about this story until the last 20min. The idea of it just hurts and seems like punishment when the author doesn’t seem to see it that way. Hopefully there is a book three so the MC is not so thoroughly F*^%ed.

That is not a conclusion!

WTF!!!! The author quit! He must have decide to stopping being a writer at the end of the third book, because this whole series is now a waist of time thanks to the ending of this book. I have never hated an ending more than this one. It is barely worth calling and conclusion. As a matter of fact it was not a conclusion it was and end! A I’m done writing now so it’s over, don’t care anymore, end!

Catherine Carter is a reader not a narrator, characters MAY have different ascents but there voices (both male and female) are all the same. There are pauses where there shouldn't be and place where there should be pauses there aren't. This isn't always Carter's fault as Reed James changes perspective frequently within a chapter.
