Historia
Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread, it's now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They'll date each other and break up. Their curses will cancel each other’s out, and they’ll both go on to find the love of their lives. It’s a bonkers idea… and it just might work.

Wonderfully thought out and so well written
Revisado: 05-22-24
I’m in awe of Abby Jimenez ability to write multidimensional characters and stories. This book definitely deals with some very heavy topics and trauma - a lot of it surely relatable to readers in various degrees. However, I believe there’s so much understanding and knowledge to be gained and valuable life lessons to learn in following along as the characters work through the trauma and come out on the other side able to make good decisions. Overall, a really sweet book and love story, lovable characters that feel real, and a story I will not forget any time soon. Definitely recommend! Also, there are some fun easter eggs if you’ve read previous books by Abby Jimenez. :)

Historia
Zilan dreams of becoming a royal alchemist, of providing for her family by making alchemical gold and gems for the wealthy to eat in order to stay young forever. But for now, she’s trapped in her impoverished village in southern China, practicing an illegal form of alchemy to keep food on the table—resurrecting the dead, for a price. When Zilan finally has the chance to complete her imperial exams, she ventures to the capital to compete against the best alchemists in the country in tasks she’ll be lucky to survive, let alone pass.

Historia
For Dee Kwan, every day is the perfect day. No, really. She has a house she loves, a job she adores, and a ridiculously attractive “nemesis” who never seems to mind when she wins their favorite online game. How can life possibly get better? (It can’t, obviously. It can only get much, much worse.) Soon Dee is forced to share her adorably cozy home with her parents and estranged grandmother. Then she’s tossed into the deep end at work, tasked with cleaning up a scandal for the intimidatingly chic luxury fashion firm Celeste. If that weren’t enough, she discovers her hot nemesis works there, too.
