Sixteen-year-old Waverly Fishwater believes that people who act suspicious are asking for her to spy on them. When she eavesdrops on one of her dad's clandestine meetings, she learns that mermaids are being abducted. I first started reading this book when I was in high school, and just found out it is on audible. It took me away as it did several years ago, and I could not stop listening to it! It is so unique and interesting.
