I couldn't believe how engrossed I became and how quickly it happened! Nora Roberts hit another homerun with this one. The narrator was easy to listen to and did really well on the voices.
This book was sad, beautiful, poignant and a million other adjectives. Yall, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Oh I love a good mystery and this one had it!
I can't wait to see if there will be a third, but for the love of all of us that had to listen to this, please get another narrator! I seriously had Hell getting myself motivated to listen to her.
Some moments she sounded British, then southern and the voice didn't match the characters! Was almost the game changer. Please don't use this person again. I was tough enough once but I don't think I'll be able to listen to her again.

When I first started listening to this book I can promise you that my eyes rolled so far into my head I checked for an aneurysm😆! That woman's voice had me gritting my teeth, and being the stalwart person, I am I continued to listen. It got me right in my feels! Saying to much will give away the whole story, but I can tell you this, the narrator made me laugh with her euphemisms, it's truly a serious book, yet I would catch myself cracking up at the way she would say things about herself, about the antagonist, Lord love a duck there were times I had to pause it to just laugh!
The ending wasn't what I had hoped. I wanted to hear more about our heroes, how they dealt with everything, but it wasn't meant to be.
I would still recommend this to anyone who has a sense of humor and can understand a mother's love.

Oh wow! I've been doing some catch up on this author and I must say she is phenomenal!!
As the plot lays out you get to like Taylor Jackson and her no b.s. attitude. Her family's dynamics on the other hand, yikes! Made me sad for the character. I can't go to deep into this book as I know me, I'll give things away that the reader(s) should listen or read on their own. I want to just blurt exciting things, the sad, the Ugly.
Y'all have read the cover story and maybe the first book, "All the Pretty Girls", it's getting better!
Just ordered Judas Kiss today! Told you I am playing catch up, but for a first timer, this series is not a disappointment.
It's worth the time and money, if it changes, I'll let you know.

It took me a week to get through this book.
The back and forth was fine. To many non characters was not. I can handle the supernatural aspect, she puts to many characters in this book. It was hard to keep up with. At this point I can't tell you about this book, I may have to take a vacation and listen then. It's rated at two.
