It's bold, dumb, fun, and just what I needed!

In a world where everyone gets offended over little things, and where media has become stale, safe, and cookie cutter, it's nice to read something like this. Parts of it remind me of the type of humor in The Hitchhiker's Guide but it's a lot more adult. The story is very creative and if you liked the first book, you will love this one. The narrator also does an amazing job voicing the many (very) different characters in the book. I hope the series keeps going!

Loved it!

Really enjoyed this book, Here is why:
- The story keeps moving and each scene/segment/encounter is different and interesting. There is no 'rinse and repeat'. I think this would actually make a really good movie.
- Not only was it good horror but I also learned a ton about the Philippines.
- It's funny at times,
- I usually stay away from author narrated books but the author is actually a really good narrator.

My only complaint is that sometimes, the MC is just dumb, luckily for us he snaps out of it fairly quickly.

If you like horror, definitely give this one a try!

The best narrator team makes a decent story great!

Fun and funny book. Doesn't take itself seriously. The story is just alright but the narrators are absolutely amazing and bring the book to life in the most perfect way.

PS: The editor needs to be fired. There was a part in the first book where you heard some behind the scenes and it was hilarious but here, you hear mouse clicking and repeating lines and it just takes you out of the story.

Mediocre writing and annoying MC. Good story.

The story was creative and enjoyable but the writing was a painful, it's very generic. The MC is super annoying and would never survive the corporate world in real life. Most characters are cookie cutter 2019 except for the bad guy who is very interesting. I don't know what people who leave amazing reviews for this are used to reading. This book is just okay.

Generic and full of clichés. While it has its moments, the story is just bad and the world makes no sense. Maybe it was written for kids or young adults? This book has none of the traits that made Mistborn one of my favorites. The narrator is great though.

While the writing is basic, the story is entertaining and fast paced. I struggled with the narrator though. He was okay for The Martian, but his voice kept taking me out of this story. Might continue the story in book form.

Disappointing compared to previous books

Book 1 and 2 are some of the best Sci-fi I have read. While the third book starts out interesting, it doesn't develop into a page turner full of "wow!" moments like the previous two books. The story is small in scope and mostly takes place in one space. The most interesting/intriguing part of the story only gets one or two chapters.

Very disappointed.

Loved it!

Let me start by saying I usually stay clear of 'full cast' audio books because I find them distracting. However, the actors are really good here and made the book extremely immersive. I loved the story, interesting characters, creepy, and some really intense scenes (where you can't stop listening). Reminds me of old school horror video games (back when they were good). The writing is excellent and the so is the narration. If you like horror, give this one a shot.

80% action, 20% story. Disappointed.

All story elements of this book could have been told in 5 chapters. My least favorite book in the series by far. Some normalization issues means you'll have to change the volume often, sometime mid conversation. Pretty bummed out since the Drizzt books are some of my favorites. Meh

Very detailed characters, epic story, the narrator is awesome. If you like science fiction, you should get this book.
