I read most but listened to the last hour. It was not a fast read hut i was an entertaining and good read. I like that this is him dealing with other troubles that he has not sen in his travels.

I was leery because the cover looked different than I am but see to but it gave it a whirl and I’m glad I did. Interesting progression model but not completely fleshed out. I’m not sure how he is growing but not progressing. I could have easily missed it as I listen with 1 ear while chasing around toddlers or driving. But the story is good and the characters are interesting. I enjoyed the progression of the Main Character and especially his building then falling relationships. This also sets up well without a major cliff hanger leaving me pandering which I appreciate. But there are several more storylines to progress that should be darn good.

GREAT LISTEN

Thoroughly enjoyed this. the little details are not spared and this only enhances the novel. i appreciated the small nuances and character development as well as conflicts and shifts in understanding that enhanced the character interactions.

Edge of the Seat

This was satisfying and riveting and any other word along those lines. the conclusion has me wondering so much not the least of which is what about the sword and what kind of character progression/skill progression could the next book lead to. i thoroughly enjoyed the extra length as i could typically go thorugh a book in a few days and this one took come time but was worth every minute. Lastly, i just have to say that i saw that coming from the introduction of THAT character. but i didnt see how nor the intricate brutal back story.

Good thing for Yoshi

For a supporting cast, Yoshi provides an interesting look into the character development and shows how far he has to go. I cant wait to read about the training Yoshi offered to Richter. the pain and relief in this novel as well as the progression between the villages is hard fought... Literally.

Small things Large Impact

This is going to be a game changer in terms of the story and support for Richter and the Mist village. After listening to this one i was ready for the next. the peace among the violence and the serenity among the chaos makes for great story contrast and respites for the characters t see the development and help to relate in a way that you cant with constant battle and violence as in some LiTRPGs.

Ouch that hurt

WIthout giving too much away this book has me anxiously awaiting the next book in the series and wanting it not to end. Sergeant Caulder might be my favorite support character and the descriptions of unique situations Richter gets in develope the story while keeping it light and capturing the audience.
