Historia
The story of Lady Chatterley and her love for her husband's gamekeeper outraged the sensibilities of Edwardian England. Lawrence had already been dismissed as a purveyor of the obscene for the attitudes to sex that he had shown in The Rainbow, which had been fiercely suppressed on its publication in 1915. Chatterley, written in several versions around 1928 in Italy in the final part of Lawrence's life, was a deliberate choice on the author's part to address sex head on.

A rare case where the movie was better
Revisado: 11-10-23
Absolutely loved the narrator! She did a wonderful job.
The book was alright. It’s better than the bulk of hallmark styled romances out there. But the author liked to indulge in long tedious conversations of armchair philosophy. You can really sympathize with Constance wanting to leave Clifford, his were the worst though unfortunately not the only dull monologues.
The romance was lovely though I wish there were an edit of this book that left it a little more balanced. It’s definitely graphic in places just so you know. Would definitely recommend the movie though.

I Reccomend this for everyone!
Revisado: 03-26-22
Easy to follow easy to listen to scientifically sound advice for developing and maintaining healthy boundaries. He makes a lot of biblical references which is great for Christians who tend to have trouble with proper boundaries from my experience. If you’re not Christian please don’t let that put you off. All the advice in this book is great and the author is clearly a competent psychologist, just ignore the Bible references if that’s not for you.
I’ve listened to it and have applied principles in my life and have recommended it to several friends and family members already. 10/10

Not the full book but still amazing!
Revisado: 12-09-21
This book is incredibly enlightening and Gloria does a great job narrating it! I would recommend it to everyone! It goes over the importance of self esteem and how women and men are deprived of it through upbringing and society as well as what you can do about it. I’m going to read the full paper back soon as I found myself wishing this version was longer.
The only thing I’m disappointed in is Audible. Their description of the audio book fails to mention that it’s only 4 chapters and not the whole book which is not only misleading but illegal.

Kate Mulgrew is a fantastic writer. Listening to her book was like savoring a literary truffle with layers of sweet and bitter simple and complex, flawlessly interlaced into a work of art. I loved getting to know this brilliant women as I listened to her share her life story with vulnerability and style. She is already a favorite actress of mine and I loved her more with every word. She has lead a fascinating life full of characters sweet and charming, devoted and absentee, down to earth and downright ludicrous, and all fantastic. I can't wait to read what she writes next!

Historia
Long before he starred on some of television’s most beloved and long-running series such as Taxi and Who’s the Boss? and went on to distinguish himself in a variety of film and stage roles, Tony Danza was a walking contradiction: an indifferent student who dreamed of being a teacher. Inspiring a classroom of students was an aspiration he put aside for decades until one day it seemed that the most meaningful thing he could do was give his dream a shot. What followed was a year spent teaching 10th-grade English at Northeast High - Philadelphia’s largest high school with 3,600 students....

I loved this book. it was a joy to listen to and I always wanted to know what was going to happen next. I also feel much more informed about what teachers go through! They are educating and partially raising the people in our country on a stressed out pittance. I was on awe of the dedication of some of the teachers and feel moved to make a difference myself. I would recommend this book to anyone!
