Excellent story of her journey. I appreciated her live testimony, however, I appreciate your book even more! I think you will be surprised at how many babies are named Cassidy from now onKeep showing gratitude to those who stood by you, Stay strong against the evil that still wants to destroy Democracy and you! I hope the next chapter of your life is easier and gives you another passion that allows you to be competent , respected, appreciated with true lifelong friends, who don’t drop you when you stand up to integrity and principles. Most of all I wish you happiness and to be loved. You truly did keep democracy from falling into the ocean! No small feat for a 25 year old wise beyond her years. Just as an afterthought, your sadistic, cruel biological father is very similar as anarchistic, narcissist, Anti-Christ, SADISTIC, Cruel # 45. Maybe one helped you survive the other. I pray that all Americans can love our country as much as you do and also do the Right Action. A most grateful reader

Grounded by Jon Tester is a great listen!

Just finished listening to Grounded! By Senator Jon Tester from Montana!Most excellent! Learned slot about farming and Rural America!Senator Tester is a man of integrity and honor. I sent the book to my brother in law. He also loved the book and reminded him of growing up in Montana and visiting his Grandparents’ Farm! I would trust Jon Tester to always do the right action and am glad such an articulate , honest Farmer and gentleman is working to protect our American Values and our country!

Best account of What happened during the 2016. This book will be one of the most quoted books of History.

I have always appreciated Donna Brazil on This Week. Her account of the Hacks by the Russians has helped me understand What happened and how dangerous to our Democracy and Elections were! I am so glad she wrote her account. I am even more impressed. Shame on people who threw her and her knowledge and integrity after 40 years of passionate service to our nation! Few Strong people could have endure what this amazing women withstood! Donna, you are my forever hero of Democracy! Thank you! I will be sending your book to many people!

Would you consider the audio edition of Not My Father's Son: A Memoir to be better than the print version?

Listening to Alan Cumming relate his own story made the telling of abuse, a difficult period of revelation and the triump of spirit; learning to love himself without a father's love; and the love of his brother, mother and partner left a footprint in my heart and soul-forever! Thank-you!Your honesty will heal other victims of abuse!

What about Alan Cumming’s performance did you like?

I was in the moment of rawness, pain, joy and searching from beginning to end. He truly gave us a window into his soul! He stilll managed to provide moments of joy, laughter and gratitude. I hope the book and the reading/telling of the book eased his life and childhood pain. I am glad he found happiness, love and self worth! I will listen and watch any performance he gives! His lovely scottish lilt was musical, with a wide scale of varied, emotional nuances.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened while I drove for 30-60 minutes at a time. I could not wait to get back to the story. However, I am not sure one could endure all the pain and emotion in one sitting. similar to War and Peace. You have to take a break to continue taking in all the human pathos and emotion! Thank you a million times for the courage you had in bringing your story to print and in also performing the book!

I first knew of Alan Cumming from the Good Wife, a politician with a hidden layer of leprochaun and mischief with sparkling, beautiful eyes. He is one of my favorite characters. then I saw his performance on the Tony's of cabaret, so I started looking him up and found out about the book and several of the plays/movies he was written, directed and starred in and about this book. So I started reading and watching all of his work available! I too had a father who created an atmosphere of mental, psychological abuse and Alan was spot on in his descriptions and a life journey to become and believe one is okay! Thanks!

Inspiring read for book lovers who care!

Where does The End of Your Life Book Club rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Among the top! I am recommending the book to all my friends and buying several copies for Christmas Presents! So many new books to explore! I want to be this way at the end of my life, sharing books I love with those I love. I now have a greater understanding of Chemotherapy, Ettiquette of Illness. Maryann was an inspirational women, whose life left the world a better place! Her son's story of their time together through books, showed his deep love and willingness to be there for his mother. IIam so glad I found this book!
ONe can still with dignity and love and character at the end of one's life! I will now buy the book and highlight the books and also highlight the great wisdom.
