Cherry Bomb, an A.I. made human—and immortal—is out for revenge against her creator, Will, who left her on the Galahad, a ship full of unholy monsters, traversing the universe from beginning to end, ad infinitum. Countless years pass, giving her more than enough time to plot her revenge. Upon gaining control of the ship, she sets her plan in motion, building a vast army and reforming the universe as she sees fit.

One of the most unexpected twists
Revisado: 04-04-24
Having listened to all 13 books in the Infinite timeline, I was not expecting many of the twists that JR gave us with this conclusion. I have thoroughly enjoyed this journey and am sad that it has to end. I fell in love with Henry and Sarah, Dark Horse and Chuey, Bree and Miah, Winnie and Dan, Jonah and Bubbles, Hilde and Burnett, and of course, Will and Gal, along with the rest of the super heroes. I can’t wait to read them again.

Was skeptical at first, but then
Revisado: 10-04-21
I thoroughly enjoyed Infinite and thought it had a pretty good ending so was skeptical about reading Infinite2. I’m very glad I talked myself into giving it a try. While the beginning was a tad confusing, once I understood what was going on, I could follow the narrative without much effort and the twists and turns were so much better than I could ever have imagined. RC Bray is, of course, superb in his narration (and I especially loved the outtakes at the end) and brings the story to life. I recommend anyone on the fence to give it a go …. You won’t be disappointed.

The book comes to life with Ms Knowelden’s performance
Revisado: 05-03-21
John Marrs is very good at writing suspenseful stories full of twists and unexpected turns, snd this book is no exception. Coupled with the delightfully wonderful narration of Elizabeth Knowelden, this story comes to life. I could feel the angst, the fear, and the psychosis in every gasp, sigh, and shaky word spoken. The twists kept me guessing (sometimes incorrectly) at what was to come. I am happy I added this book to my collection. I will definitely be reading it again.

Historia
To five-year-old Jack, Room is the entire world. It is where he was born and grew up; it's where he lives with his Ma as they learn and read and eat and sleep and play. At night, his Ma shuts him safely in the wardrobe, where he is meant to be asleep when Old Nick visits. Room is home to Jack, but to Ma, it is the prison where Old Nick has held her captive for seven years. Through determination, ingenuity, and fierce motherly love, Ma has created a life for Jack. But she knows it's not enough...not for her or for him.

Would you consider the audio edition of Room to be better than the print version?
this book was addicting from page one. From the moment you hear young Jack telling us what his environment consists of, you cannot help but cheer for him when he's being "scave" Prince Jacker Kack. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

Historia
Why we think it’s a great listen: Some books are meant to be read; others are meant to be heard – Water for Elephants falls into the second group, and is one of the best examples we have of how a powerful performance enhances a great story. Nonagenarian Jacob Jankowski reflects back on his wild and wondrous days with a circus. It's the Depression Era and Jacob, finding himself parentless and penniless, joins the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth.

Narrative makes the story come alive
Revisado: 02-11-15
Where does Water for Elephants rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
this story is unique in its setting. It's not often you find a book set in a circus during the depression. The story of Jacob and Marlena is beautiful even in its tragedy. David LeDoux does a wonderful job with the narrative. He helped me to feel what Jacob was feeling and experiencing. John Randolph Jones did such a wonderful job recounting Jacob's memories and expressing what it feels like to grow old. I will enjoy this book many times over.

Historia
Bringing the magic and suspense of the All Souls Trilogy to a deeply satisfying conclusion, this highly anticipated finale went straight to number one on the New York Times best seller list. In The Book of Life, Diana and Matthew time-travel back from Elizabethan London to make a dramatic return to the present - facing new crises and old enemies. At Matthew’s ancestral home, Sept-Tours, they reunite with the beloved cast of characters from A Discovery of Witches - with one significant exception.

Some plot holes closed; some opened up
Revisado: 12-16-14
What made the experience of listening to The Book of Life the most enjoyable?
having discovered this series by listening to the reading of SON on Book Radio, I was immediately drawn into the world of Diana and Matthew. I was disappointed to discover I would have to wait a whole year for the third, and last installment. I feel TBOL was worth the wait. I particularly enjoyed the reading by Jennifer Ikeda. I thought she did a much better job than for SON and felt her performance showed her maturity in her craft. Especially when reading the part of the Gael, Gallowglass. I wish she had adopted that voice-style for him from the beginning. Deborah Harkness did a wonderful job closing up the trilogy with TBOL. I just wish we could know what happens to the twins.....
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Book of Life?
When Jack and Father Hubbard make their appearance. I cried when I realized Diana and Matthew would get to bring him back into their lives.

Historia
Picking up from A Discovery of Witches' cliff-hanger ending, Shadow of Night takes reluctant witch Diana Bishop and vampire geneticist Matthew Clairmont on a trip through time to Elizabethan London, where they are plunged into a world of spies, magic, and a coterie of Matthew's old friends, the School of Night. As the search for Ashmole 782—the lost and enchanted manuscript whose mystery first pulled Diana and Matthew into one another's orbit—deepens and Diana seeks out a witch to tutor her in magic, the net of Matthew's past tightens around them.

Elizabethan England comes to life as never before
Revisado: 04-05-14
Would you listen to Shadow of Night again? Why?
Deborah Harkness brings vivid details of what England was like in 1590. The real life characters in her story, along with descriptions of costumes and surroundings, helps you to feel like you are really there, having time-walked with Diana and Matthew back into Matthew's past.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Shadow of Night?
I loved listening to the details of the Black Friars and Prague, and meeting all the characters that existed during the time.

An adult vampire and witch story
Revisado: 04-05-14
What did you love best about A Discovery of Witches?
Witches, vampires and Demons never sounded so real as they do in this series. Deborah Harkness brings to life a world that could conceivably exist today.
What did you like best about this story?
Diana has real fears, real emotions and real reactions to the situation in which she find herself. She is neither a wimp nor so tough as to be unbelievable.
Did Jennifer Ikeda do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Jennifer Ikeda does a remarkable job making this story come to life. The listener can hear the emotions of the characters.

Historia
It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.

Revisado: 04-05-14
What does Allan Corduner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The narration of Death by Allan Corduner was incredible. I really felt like Death himself was speaking to me thru my earpiece.
