Fantastic!
Revisado: 08-11-21
This book held my attention from the moment I started listening to it. At first it was a little hard to follow but i don’t mind a second or third (or fourth or fifth) read to really capture everything it has to offer. If you like politics, mysteries, romance, and space then you’re going to love this book. It is fantastic. I hope there is another one so I can fall even more in love with the characters.

Historia
Darius Kellner is having a bit of a year. Since his trip to Iran this past spring, a lot has changed. He's getting along with his dad, and his best friend Sohrab is only a Skype call away. Between his first boyfriend, Landon, his varsity soccer practices, and his internship at his favorite tea shop, Darius is feeling pretty okay. Like he finally knows what it means to be Darius Kellner. Then, of course, everything changes.

Beautiful
Revisado: 03-29-21
I loved every bit of this book. It’s hard to describe everything I felt. I felt connected, heard, seen. I wanted to hug Darius, his mom, his dad, his sister, his grandparents. I wanted everything to actually be okay for him. I didn’t want it to end. I hope there is a third book in the future. I’m not ready to let Darius go yet. I feel like we just became friends.

Historia
Darius Kellner speaks better Klingon than Farsi, and he knows more about Hobbit social cues than Persian ones. He’s a Fractional Persian - half, his mom’s side - and his first-ever trip to Iran is about to change his life. Darius has never really fit in at home, and he’s sure things are going to be the same in Iran. His clinical depression doesn’t exactly help matters, and trying to explain his medication to his grandparents only makes things harder. Then Darius meets Sohrab, the boy next door, and everything changes.

This is definitely a must read
Revisado: 03-25-21
When I picked this book for my future reading I thought the cover was cool. That’s it really and I heard about the sequel. I wasn’t expecting to feel like parts of my life were woven into the little scenes here and there. It touched me in so many different ways. I recently lost my grandmother and I was crying by the end of the book because I wished I had one last chance like Darius to have wished her or my grandparents a final goodbye. One that I knew was forever. It’s a great read and may hit a little harder than expected so be careful.

Historia
Luc O'Donnell is tangentially - and reluctantly - famous. His rock-star parents split when he was young, and the father he's never met spent the next 20 years cruising in and out of rehab. Now that his dad's making a comeback, Luc's back in the public eye, and one compromising photo is enough to ruin everything. To clean up his image, Luc has to find a nice normal relationship...and Oliver Blackwood is as nice and normal as they come. He's a barrister, an ethical vegetarian, and someone who has never inspired a moment of scandal in his life. He’s perfect boyfriend material.

Simple Wonderful
Revisado: 12-19-20
I read this book not knowing what to think about it. Thought it was just gonna be another fluffy romance. Then I found myself angrily sweeping at work while I listened to Luc go through everything he had to go through. It was brilliant and I may just listen to it again now that I’ve finished it. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to have a fun time.

Historia
When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius—his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There's only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.

Overwhelming Queer Joy
Revisado: 08-19-19
This book gives me such a sense of overwhelming pride every time I read it. Twice now. The characters are amazing and they’re so real in so many different ways that I feel like I know them. That maybe if I turn on a television this is the world I’ll be in. There are so many lgbt+ characters. All of them fitting into the story without seeming like they’re forced. It gives me hope. The narrator is a bit weird at the beginning but my second time through I realized that he’s the best choice. He captures Alex’s personality so well. I recommend this book for anyone and everyone. Especially lgbt+ youth that feel the need to fit in. (When I was finishing this book the second time a rainbow appeared so there’s also that). Always remember, there’s nothing with you.
