creepy Woody Allen
Revisado: 04-18-25
I hated how creepy Woody Allen was throughout the time that Mia Farriw knew him. He was disgusting and Narcissistic. Mia was so tolerant for so long. She is a Saint to put up with him as long as she did. Mia is also a Saint for adopting all if those kids.

Historia
In Sweden there is a kind of decluttering called döstädning, dö meaning "death" and städning meaning "cleaning." This surprising and invigorating process of clearing out unnecessary belongings can be undertaken at any age or life stage but should be done sooner rather than later, before others have to do it for you. In The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning, artist Margareta Magnusson, with Scandinavian humor and wisdom, instructs listeners to embrace minimalism.

Revisado: 04-14-25
The author had a really pleasant voice. I felt like there is a lot of stuff we can all get rid of before we die. And, we never know when we will die. So we might as well start now.

Historia
In 1906 I was barely over 14 years old, and it was my wedding day. My older sister, Helen, came to my room, took me by the hand, and sat me down on the bed. She said, "You've always been a good girl, Maude, and done what I told you. Now you're going to be a married woman, and he will be the head of the house. When you go home tonight after your party, no matter what he wants to do to you, you have to let him do it. Do you understand?"

Alice Wright marries handsome American Bennett Van Cleve hoping to escape her stifling life in England. So, when a call goes out for a team of women to deliver books as part of Eleanor Roosevelt’s new traveling library, Alice signs on enthusiastically. The leader, and soon Alice's greatest ally, is Margery, a smart-talking, self-sufficient woman who's never asked a man's permission for anything.

I hate how the narrator keeps changing from "a" to "er" back and forth. For example: one time the narrator says Roseanna, the next time it is Roseanner". Also, the story doesn't even explain how Roberto was the father of Ella's, and yet, when she finds out about it, there isn't any comment bu either Ella's or Rosanna.

I like the part about the hothouse flowers.
Revisado: 05-07-24
I don't like it that Xavier didn't die when the accident happened. It made the story ridiculous and stupid. I also missed the fact that the accident was with Julia's husband and child. I kept thinking, why is she mourning for so long over her mother's death. I didn't find out until later in the book, why she mourned so long. I didn't like the book as well as other books by Lucinda Riley.
