Feels like half a book

Way too short. Story doesn’t really end. If you’re going to be that obvious about wanting a sequel, at least put enough content in to get it over the 10hr mark.

It is a neat prequel.
And it was kind of neat to have a fallen world book without the words “fallen world” being uttered constantly

You’re paying for content you’ve already heard half of.

I like the book and series enough that I stuck it out to the end to hear the new stories. They were okay.
I am deeply upset that basically half of this book was the same Kade stories we heard in the first book though. I feel scammed. Very slimy. Not quite corporate head slimy, but they would probably approve the idea to sell the same product again.

Nothing like the first book

This book is primarily people arguing about politics of the new settlement and swearing a lot with basically none of the end of the world, tech and exploration focus that made the first book fun.
It’s a completely different kind of book, only the names are the same.

If you liked Renegades, this is nothing like Renegades

If you liked the Renegades series, this is absolutely nothing like that. So disappointed. This book is the worst of the awkward teenage romance of Renegades with none of what made renegades actually interesting
I hate the protagonist. I hate the plot. Narrator is great.
