Historia
What happens when a nineteen-year-old boy leaves home and heads into the jungles to evangelize a murderous tribe of South American Indians? For Bruce Olson, it meant capture, disease, terror, loneliness, and torture. But what he discovered through trial and error has revolutionized the world of missions. Bruchko, which has sold more than 300,000 copies worldwide, has been called "more fantastic and harrowing than anything Hollywood could concoct."

Loved this book!!
Revisado: 01-03-23
I loved how Bruce Olson was able to make it to the Indians and got to share the gospel. I do not have any dislikes. I gave it this rating because first I loved the book and second I love missionary stories.

Historia
Even Truly Lovejoy has to admit that teeny-tiny Pumpkin Falls, New Hampshire, has its charms - like the annual maple festival, where tourists flock from all over to sample the local maple syrup, maple candy, maple coffee, and even maple soap! But when someone tries to sabotage the maple trees on her friend Franklin's family farm, Truly has to rally the Pumpkin Falls Private Eyes to investigate.

Potentially great, but missed the mark
Revisado: 01-24-20
I listened to this audio with my four kids. (13, 10, 9, 8) We really enjoyed the first book in this series, but had to force ourselves to finish this one. The only thing that kept us going was how it coincided with some studies we've been doing on the underground railroad. The teenage boy angst and sibling issues was the decided focus of the book and left us all sighing and wondering why the author would spend so much time on that kind of drama - we all agreed this fell short. Such a bummer.

A satisfying finish
Revisado: 09-26-18
I have loved this series so much. I finished the fifth book last summer and was on tenterhooks waiting for this final installment. Amazingly, I waited to listen and, instead, began the series with my children! (I’d only planned to pre-listen to the first to make sure it was good for my kiddos, but quickly got hooked myself!) I thoroughly enjoyed the books a second time around and couldn’t wait to listen to this final book with them. We did have a difficult time adjusting to the new narrator at first, but quickly became so wrapped up in the storyline it didn’t matter as much. Wow! What a satisfying finish to an amazing journey.
Thank you,
Maryrose - for some amazing memories made with my own Incorrigibles. These books will mark our shelves for generations to come. How many homes are enjoying pithy sayings thanks to you!!
Katherine - for making me laugh and howl out loud so many times. You are greatly missed.
Fiona - for doing an amazing job on an impossible task!!

I love this series. They are good, clean fun and narrated well. I found myself laughing out loud several times, but also on the edge of my seat. Once you get wrapped up in the story, it’s “can’t put down” good!!

3rd is even better
Revisado: 07-17-16
At first I was a bit taken aback that the narrator from the first two books wasn't reading the third, but I loved the fact that it was the author reading it. Though it took me a bit to adjust to different pronunciations, I knew he'd read the book just the way he wanted it heard.
I loved the first two books in this saga, but this was my far and away favorite. Actually, it's climbed it's way into my favorites of all time list. Absolutely gripping. My kids are 9,7,6&5. They are just shy of being old enough for the intensity of these books, but I know they will be heard, read and treasured in our family for years to come.
Bravo!!

Wonderful book!!

My kids (ages 4-8) and I have been mesmerized by this book. The little ones have enjoyed listening and catching snippets here and there, but my eldest and I have taken advantage of every moment in the car or other quiet time to listen to this book. Such a great book and very well read. Looking forward to more from this author.

My husband has read all of Joel Rosenberg's book. He loves them. This was my first. I was gripped from the first word. I had my earbuds in at every listening opportunity!! Characters were well developed and the story felt complete at the end. I look forward to beginning another one soon!!
