Part pristine Hollywood princess and part classic bombshell, with innocence, strength, and comedic talent to spare, Barbara finally lets Jeannie out of her bottle to tell her whole story. Jeannie Out of the Bottle takes us behind the scenes of I Dream of Jeannie as well as Barbara’s dozens of other stage, movie, television, and live concert performances.

Typical celebrity
Revisado: 10-04-24
As with most celebrities, Eden is very emotionally led and not very led by wisdom. She married and divorced the first time due to emotions deciding she was not inlove anymore. I actually felt sorry for Michael Ansara and their son, who suffered tremendously due to Eden’s emotional whims. I started this book liking Eden, but ended up disliking her due to her inflated ego and silly personality. She talks about how much she worked, yet the only thing I remember her in is one episode of Andy Griffith and I Dream of Jeannie. I guess singing at a Little League opening is her definition of working. Have you heard her sing? Exactly! Her selfishness and hyper inflated ego is what most of the book is about. I had to force myself to finish it.

Loved it. Loved the suspense and the mystery man. I didn’t care for the side story of the lady who miscarried. It didn’t fit with the story.

Far too much profanity
Revisado: 02-20-24
This would have been a pretty good book ok if the author had not gone on an unnecessary tirade of profanity every other page. It took the enjoyment right out of it. It isn’t clean so beware.

Revisado: 08-25-23
This book is a tremendous disappointment and the waste of a credit. I cannot believe Christy Barritt wrote this. Gabby better turn back into her sweet self, and out of the narcissist she’s become in this book or I won’t be able to continue on. Everything was about her and her needs and wants. Awful! Selfish, immature, and narcissistic to the core! I’m very disappointed in this book. I wasted a credit.

A wasted credit!
Revisado: 06-21-21
I have listened to and read this author in The Cozy Camper Mystery series. They were good, but she did push the envelope with me with the curse words, but they got better. This series is horrible! I cannot believe the same person wrote it. She exceeded my limit of curse words, which for me doesn’t make it a clean nor relaxing read. I found my mind wandering and I had to rewind. It was juvenile, predictable, and for me boring. I am heading on to other authors. My disappointment is great with these books. They had such great story potential, too.

I did not care for the narrator. I love this author, but I just could not keep my mind on this one. I found the characters to be very immature and lacking in depth. Just not for me.
