Historia
Lisa Wingate has been favorably compared to authors Nicholas Sparks and Richard Paul Evans. In A Month of Summer, Hanna Beth has been caring for her aging husband - who suffers from Alzheimer's - and her developmentally challenged adult son for years on her own. But when she suffers a stroke, estranged stepdaughter Rebecca must take the reins. As she cares for her father and the step-brother she's barely met, Rebecca slowly begins to heal both herself and her family.

Historia
Allie Kirkland has never been one to take wild risks. But when she's offered a costuming assistant's job on a docudrama in the hills near Moses Lake, she jumps at the chance. She's always dreamed of following in her director-father's footsteps, and the reenactment of the legendary frontier settlement of Wildwood is a first step. The family expectations will have to wait. But in 1861, the real Wildwood held dangerous realities. Town founder Harland Delevan held helpless residents, including young Irish schoolteacher Bonnie Rose, in an iron grip.

Historia
"The devil made me do it" is a phrase that will never pass my lips. Why would it when I have Delores, my undiagnosed autoimmune disorder, to make all my decisions for me? (Yes, I named her myself since the doctors couldn’t do it for me.) A get together with friends? Delores says no. I’ll have my prescheduled daily afternoon fever and fatigue at that time. My two biggest regrets with having Delores direct my fate? One, my family thinks my illness is all in my head. And two, I set the love of my life, Peter Reynolds, free from my anchoring tether so he could fly.

Sweet Christmas Novella
Revisado: 12-06-21
I enjoyed this sweet Christmas novella that tied up a lot of loose ends from the novel by Lynn Austin. The truths woven into the story were timely for the season and all year through. The narration was wonderful with the narrator speaking with a British accent for Eve, Audrey. and Bobby while using an American accent for everyone else.

Historia
Fashion is a fickle industry, a frightening fact for 24-year-old model Ivy Clark. Ten years in and she’s learned a sacred truth - appearance is everything. Nobody cares about her broken past as long as she looks beautiful for the camera. This is the only life Ivy knows - so when it starts to unravel, she’ll do anything to hold on. Even if that means moving to the quaint island town of Greenbrier, South Carolina, to be the new face of her stepmother’s bridal wear line - an irony too rich for words, since Ivy is far from the pure bride in white.

Great Book
Revisado: 05-21-21
I read this book with my 8th grade students, and we were all inspired by the life of Dr. Ben Carson. He weaves many life lessons through out the book that adults and teenagers alike can apply to their lives. His message of working hard to be the best you can be is needed in our society today. He is proof that no matter how poor one is or how difficult one's life is, with perseverance and hard work, you can achieve anything you determine to do in life. I also love that his trust in God was woven though out the book. He acknowledges God for all his abilities and success.

Beautiful Story
Revisado: 05-19-21
I originally read this as a member of the launch book and loved the story so much so that I wanted to listen to it on audio. I enjoyed most of the audio book. Both of the female narrators did an excellent job, but the male narrator was not good at all. He didn't seem to be a part of the story but just read it in a bland tone. He did not try to distinguish between the different characters in the story the way the female characters did. Thus, I gave it only three stars for the performance. That being said, this is a wonderful story that I highly suggest whether it be on audio book or the written book. Elizabeth Musser is one of my favorite authors.

Beautiful story!
Revisado: 04-29-21
I read this book years ago when it was published but with the release of the third book last year, I wanted to reread The Swan House and The Dwelling Place. I loved this beautiful story of forgiveness and redemption. The audio book was well done and did the story justice. Elizabeth Musser is a master storyteller. I have loved all of her books I have read and look forward to each new one. I highly suggest you read The Swan House, The Dwelling Place, and The Promised Land.

Wonderful Story
Revisado: 04-10-21
I first read this years ago when it was first published and loved it. With the release of the third book in the series, I decided to listen to The Swan House on Audible. My husband is not much of a reader, but he will listen to audio books with me in the car. My husband and I both enjoyed "reading" it. The audio book was well done, and the story is engaging. I highly recommend it.
