I love how all three books work well off each other. As this being the second book, it carried over the first story line and completed it as it also began a different story like with a separate couple. The story grew rather than complete and I can’t wait to complete the final book.

Gripping and good for a laugh

I really enjoy Queenie and her daft behavior. I love how they have made such a great life. I don’t like that Darcy is made to be “to good” for Lady Georgianna: “how did you ever land such an incredible gorgeous man….” Or “if you plan on keeping Darcy” in your bed, you need to …. Sort of comments. Why can’t Darcy feel like he was lucky to have caught such a beautiful woman… I mean he says how much he loves her and that’s great, but why is it that when Darcy walks in a room, all eyes turn to him by lusting women? Why can’t just in ONE story Darcy feels a little “green-eyed” when Lady G gets glances her way? Maybe at least once. Even in NICE (when she meets her 1/2 sister), when a handsome suitor catches Lady G’s eye, Darcy knew he had nothing to worry about.
Anyways, love all the books and can’t wait for more!

Gripping

I was unsure how or if I’d like this type of genre. I love how Celina reads/narrates- she’s not able to create a variety of voices, but she really holds the storylines to the best possible level/tone. The background noise to envelope everything and create a vision makes the stories great

Slow start but overall captivating

It took about 2.5 to 3 chapters for the story to become interesting and captivating. Very slow start, but it did come along around chapter 3. Not a lot of current action, but more so, a lot of “I remember when we ….” Type action. But it still grabbed onto my interest learning more about Summerset and his wife. I’m glad I hung in there and listened to more of the book instead of dropping it before chapter 3. There is a bit more silliness, but I like when Roark and Eve joke around.

Very captivating

I truly loved the story, but why did the narrator change!!! The first narrator, Katherine K. Totally made the story come to life: the passion, the intensity of each character! This narrator was ok, but the Irish accent was barely noticeable and very little difference in each voice. If you hit a home run with the first book, why change?! This trilogy has a different narrator for each book. You can’t beat Katherine K., but I hope the narrator can at least provide an Irish accent.

So much in this story ticked me off — because I know the actions of some are true. I especially got upset when the family went to Walmart and “mom” got mostly all she needed, then left her items to get ONE item. This time, I blame mom for being so dumb. Overall, the story is was interesting and I did find it to be heartbreaking because it was so close to being true. You will enjoy this read
