Much to learn for a book not categorized as self development. The main character walks you through an entire lifetime. The book may seem slow at first but enjoy the ride. The last few chapters will have you on the edge of your seat and up hours past bedtime. I learned so much from Kya about myself. That was an unexpected, very pleasant surprise. Enjoy!

Jenna is precious, not completely what I expected however.

I think Jenna is a sweet person who is very... intentional but this book didn’t move me like I had hoped. It feels like a to do list of “how to find your balance.” But it’s sort of mundane and mechanical. I hate to say that because I was soooo looking forward to this book. I expected it to be like another, top rated self development book I recently read. I just wish it was less of a “follow Jenna for the day and do what she does” style and more a curl up on the couch with your good friend Jenna, pour your hearts out, connect, and work through it together. I wish methods that worked for her were suggested instead of listing them off like a proven science. I took a few things from this book and plan to work them into my daily routine. If Jenna ever decided to write a second book I WOULD buy it. But I would hope that she opens up a little more. I understand keeping personal things personal. But if you want to reach an audience and help them feel understood, you have to share the heart stopping moments that truly made you strong. Honesty is everything. As of now I just feel like Jenna has no clue what it’s like to hurt, walk a mile in my shoes and tell me if rose tea solves your problems. But I try to remember I just don’t know her story. She didn’t truly share it. I bought this book because I was about to marry someone and my heart was broken by the truth of who they were. I hoped to learn how to gracefully deal with the moments that make you want to curl up in a ball. I didn’t get that.

Easily enjoyable for murder mystery junkies.

I love to listen while I work on house projects. Even then it’s hard to find something that keeps me engaged. This is a traditional murder mystery. There’s not much that sets it apart from others. But the storyline and the narrator keep you engaged until the very end. It’s quick and to the point. Your time isn’t wasted on unnecessary details. I enjoyed it.

The Book You Beg Your Loved Ones to Read!

No matter who you are, where you’re from, what age, religion, what profession... this book has something special to offer you. At first I thought “Rachel is so sweet and innocent, she hasn’t seen the kind of hardship I have, so she can’t relate.” But Rachel quickly reminded me we ALL face struggles not even our closest relatives know about. I cried happy tears, tears of compassion and empathy, and tears of new understanding about MYSELF. So much to benefit from and the way that Rachel delivers her messages is real and genuine, without being too dark and heavy or too light and naive. I’m so happy I chose to discover this book via audible. Hearing this in Rachel’s own voice made it feel like taking a soulful girls trip with a best friend. Very special book, very special author. Ending Girl Wash Your Face left me feeling reconnected with myself and ready to face to world in a stronger, more loving way.

A 5 hour lecture!

Maybe I didn’t read the description correctly. I had no idea it would be nearly 5 hours of someone talking about a book. I’ve never been so bored in my life. I just wanted to hear the SPIRITUAL JOURNEY OF ST FRANCIS. Not an hour long conversation about each chapter!
