Historia
Mark Rivers was a firefighter until he got trapped in a wildfire and suffered third-degree burns on his face and body. After a year of recovering, Mark is trying to piece his life back together but struggles both emotionally and psychologically. He's been a recluse until he forces himself to attend his niece's school play and sees Riley, the school's art teacher. Immediately, Mark feels a connection to her. Maybe it's the kind way she greets his niece or the way the art she created for the school play is reminiscent of his late mom's artwork.

I really like how the main characters connected right away and their friendship grew warmer and warmer. I love how Rylie sees past Mark’s scars.

So helpful!
Revisado: 08-31-23
I love the ideas shared in this room book and even though I don’t need all the adaptations she mentions, I do appreciate how she has thought through so many possible ways to make organizing more practical for a person with ADHD and others.

Historia
Imagine if you made one little mistake when you were young and were punished for it for the rest of your life. Well, that’s what happened to Lydia (yes, that Lydia, the youngest Bennet sister from Pride and Prejudice), and she’s here to set the record straight. Hold on to your teacups and get ready for sophisticated (and a little bit naughty) hot takes and witty banter that’ll make you laugh—and think. We meet Lydia just as she is denounced by her family, exiled miles from home, and married to the rogue George Wickham, who seems to love all women...except his own wife.

Just so-so
Revisado: 02-11-23
It’s a fairly nice story just not too interesting or exciting. I skipped ahead in several parts that either I didn’t care for or didn’t care enough about to listen to it all. The characters are nice. If you’re pro homosexual relationships you will appreciate the author’s inclusion of a male homosexual relationship and a lesbian relationship as part of her story. If you don’t care for that I wouldn’t bother reading this book.

Historia
In one life-changing moment, the lives of the Jewish exiles in Babylon are thrown into confusion and despair when a decree arrives from the king's palace in Susa. It calls for the annihilation of every Jewish man, woman, and child throughout the empire on the 13th day of Adar, in less than one year. Ezra, a quiet Jewish scholar and teacher, is suddenly called upon to lead the community as they seek God for a reason for this catastrophe.

Brings the Scriptures to life
Revisado: 01-13-23
I found this story interesting romantic and exciting. Lynn Austin weaves her tales around the Biblical accounts of Esther and Ezra. She doesn’t add anything that twists the events in those scriptures she simply fills in the gaps with very plausible details. It highlights the goodness of God, the importance of obeying God and His protection for His people.

Chris is very positive and also has a very pleasant voice to listen to. I really appreciate hearing his story and his advice.

Raised amid the fame and mystique of the Big Top, Charlie Lionheart holds the audience in the palm of his hand. But while his act captivates thousands, it's away from the spotlight where his true heart lies. Here, he humbly cares for his pride of lions as if they were his brothers, a skill of bravery and strength that has prepared him for his most challenging feat yet - freeing an orphaned infant from the dark bondage of a sideshow. It is a trade so costly that it requires his life in exchange for hers, leaving him tarnished by the price of that choice.

Adventure and clean romance
Revisado: 12-07-19
The main characters in this story are easy to love. They are gracious and noble. The story line got my attention right away and kept it all the way to the end! There was great adventure and tender moments of romance. The hand of God in their lives is apparent throughout the story. It takes place during the days of Joshua and I very much enjoyed the historical data. The narration is wonderfully done. Rachel has a very pleasant voice. This is a great story I highly recommend it to those of Christian or Jewish faith as they can appreciate the story’s background features of Jewish history and customs.
