I love Susan Mallery books. I thought this was a well written book, and I love this narrator. However, this book was so sad. I got so depressed listening to it. Of course the end was happy, but I wouldn't want to listen to it again. I have to agree with one review, the male hero was really mean at times. He blamed the female heroine, when the problem was with him and his own shortcomings, not hers.

I love the story. It's a typical romance that girls love. However, I think the unabridged version would have been much better, because feelings between the hero and heroine developed too quickly in the abridged version. I only give it 2 stars because of the narrator. It sounds as though she is yelling the story to you. She also does not always demonstrate the correct emotion of the characters, so it doesn't sound right. I really love the story, but the narrator ruined it for me.
