The performer makes every question sound like a life and death crisis. "What??!!" Every male is a domineering jerk and the main character is a habitual victim. "What??!!"

The description made it seem like the main character was in control of her destiny and made her own difficult (though implausible) decisions. No. She's just a pawn for the overbearing men in her life. "What??!!"

This isn't erotica, it's romance with some explicit references. "What??!!"

Note to the performer: please take the "whats" down a few notches.

Enjoyable With A Notable Exception

As the third book in the series, this book is more of the same and that's a good thing. The narrator does a great job.... except for a scene with an upset Holly. I have never been so irritated by an Audible book. Holly's voice is already slightly annoying but make her whiny and have her speak for most of the chapter and you have an exceptionally annoying situation. I almost stopped listening to the book altogether it is so bad. Did no director listen to this and have the narrator bring it down a good 35-50%?

It's a rough patch in an otherwise good book.

Terrible Voice Acting

I read the book and enjoyed it for the most part. Really looked forward to hearing voice actors bring it alive. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The female actor (actress?) played Susie very inconsistently. Sometimes she had a southern accent, sometimes not. Sometimes she did in the beginning of a sentence only to lose it at the end. Is there nobody overseeing this performance and critiquing for consistency? She also had a tone of voice which made Susie sound vacant and whiney. Completely took me out of it. It's a shame really because the story and characters are quite interesting.
