An operating manual for running an organization, if you were a robot...
Revisado: 01-17-18
Great story and very entertaining first half of the book where you hear about how Ray became Ray and how he developed his principles. The principles themselves are very useful but intuitively feel too rigid to implement and maintain in a dynamic environment such as an organization. They can be guidelines to be adapted. In many ways it felt like he was training a robot to take over an organization. Didn’t feel very human or plausible.

Historia
The extraordinary Siddhartha Mukherjee has written a biography of the gene as deft, brilliant, and illuminating as his extraordinarily successful biography of cancer. Weaving science, social history, and personal narrative to tell us the story of one of the most important conceptual breakthroughs of modern times, Mukherjee animates the quest to understand human heredity and its surprising influence on our lives, personalities, identities, fates, and choices.

More descriptive than prescriptive
Revisado: 09-17-17
80-90% of the book is a detailed historical review of all the theoretical revelations, experiments and building blocks that have lead us to where we are today; with the ability to alter genes. I wish more time was spent discussing and analyzing the implications of where we are today, providing some normative and practical boundaries of how we might move forward.
