Historia
Sand, iron, salt, oil, copper and lithium. The struggle for these tiny, magical materials has razed empires, demolished civilizations, fed our greed and our ingenuity for thousands of years. But the story is not over. We are often told we now live in a weightless world of information but in fact we dug more stuff out of the earth in 2017 than in all of human history before 1950. And it's getting worse. To make one bar of gold, we now have to dig 5,000 tons of earth. For every tonne of fossil fuels, we extract six tonnes of other materials - from sand to stone to wood to metal.

Historia
The Age of Surveillance Capitalism is neither a hand-wringing narrative of danger and decline nor a digital fairy tale. Rather, it offers a deeply reasoned and evocative examination of the contests over the next chapter of capitalism that will decide the meaning of information civilization in the 21st century. The stark issue at hand is whether we will be the masters of information and machines or its slaves.

Too Long
Revisado: 11-02-19
The messages of this book could easily have been explained in less than one third of the time. The problem’s addresses are very important and it’s a shame many people will not read this book to the end due to being bored to death!

This book is nothing but fatastic. It shows the thin ground on which potentially world changing decisions are made by an insane president and a chaotic goverment.

Fantastic book destroyed by irritating voice
Revisado: 09-29-18
It was a big mistake to let Osaseski read his own book. While the book it self is excellent, his voice is so irritating and hard to understand that I had to stop listening to it. It impossible to concentrate about the book, while the voice is totally distracting.
