Nanny Piggins is perfect for 6 yr old boys/girls. Also, it won't bore parents, which is an added bonus for car trips. The narration is perfect! My son asked to listen to this daily until we finished. The author's note at the beginning is particularly funny - warning children that they cannot only eat sweets, etc... A very funny and entertaining book.

Story: I loved book 1. The story and narration were just swoony! Owen and Maddy’s story takes a little longer to get into but is still a solid second chance romance. There isn’t as much interaction with the family, which I missed, but we do learn more about the business and there’s a huge build up to Sawyer’s book. Owen and Maddy have a past and their chemistry is off the charts. Seeing them interact at work and the sacrifices Owen is willing to make for her really add charm to the story. Maddy’s interaction with customers has some fun comic relief. I rated the story a solid 3.5.

The narration fell flat for me. The male narrator doesn’t have a Cajun accent, and that was so well done in book 1. If you can overlook that though, his narration is fine, just missing the accent. The female narrator struggles with male voices in the dialogue. I sped the book up and it helped with this issue. Since I can’t rate the narrators separately, I’m averaging them.

I think book 1 was so fun, it would be hard to beat, but overall, I enjoyed book 2 and am looking forward to continuing the series. I really hope book 3 has a narrator with a Cajun accent because that was so impressive in book 1.

The hero and heroine for all of us!

This series is awesome. I read the first one last year at the aggressive prompting of a friend, and I adored it. Lizzie is the heroine for all of us! She has stress urinary incontinence, she's over 40, her body is imperfect, and she leaves pilates because she has to fart. It took me longer to warm to Ronan, but I am 100% Team Ronan now! In this book, we see Ronan and Lizzie grow closer and weather some personal issues. It was hilarious as expected, and I truly enjoyed every part of it. I love catching up with the crew in Scotland, Ronan's romantic gestures, and all the hilarious situations Lizzie finds herself in.

The narration is flawless. Perfectly suits this book.

I cannot wait to listen to the novella when it comes out and honestly, I hope the series continues because they are such lovely characters.

Ok, let's just get this out of the way - the title is unfortunate. In fact, it's so unfortunate, that had a trusted friend not pushed me for a few weeks, I'd have never purchased this one. However, push she did, and boy was I pleasantly surprised!

Narration - flawless

Story - This reads to me like a rom com mashup with women's fiction. I've never before read such a realistic, older heroine (50 yo), and it was so refreshing! We can't all stay 20 years old or maintain perfect bladder control, but we all deserve heroines to relate to and this book delivers in that regard. Now our hero is flawed, and honestly at first he was on my bad list, but as time goes on and you learn more about him, he's deeply flawed, but at the same time a great fit for Lizzie. The progression of their relationship was so natural and realistic. It's not instant-love, it's instant attraction with a slow burn.

Lizzie gets herself in some hilarious situations, but overall this wasn't a laughing out loud book for me. It has those moments for sure, but overall it's about a woman and man learning to love again.

I absolutely loved the side characters (Daniel and Joe), and the authors note at the end really made me appreciate the book even more.

Take a chance on this one.

This book is so fun. Tori and Josh share a night of hot kisses and agree that they will meet up in a year if they are still interested. Tori is a quirky, veterinarian that has always struggled to fit in, and Josh is a smooth talking, flirty bartender/tour guide. With a family history of falling in love with "the one" instantly, Josh knows Tori is the one and waits out his year. (The backstory is 1 chapter, it's not back and forth which I appreciated!!!).

Tori returns to NOLA for her best friend's (Andrew) wedding and to meet up with Josh. She thinks she recognizes Josh in a mask at the bar they agreed to meet at in one year and kisses him - instantly realizing he's not Josh. Of course the bride-to-be witnesses the kiss, and Tori is viewed by everyone as trying to steal the groom. In order to alleviate suspicion, she proposes to Josh that he act as her boyfriend for the wedding and they can reconnect and see how it goes.

What this book did right - I am not a fan of love triangles or other woman/man drama. Ugh! However, this book did it right!!! Tori is upfront with Josh and her feelings are always clear. I really appreciated that from the beginning, Josh knew exactly where she stood. I really loved getting to know Josh's family, and I can't wait for the brother's story. This is definitely a "found family" story, and Josh appreciates all of Tori's quirks that she's always needed to hide before. The book has the perfect mixture of romance, grand gestures, comic relief, and steam.

I have no complaints except book 2 isn't out yet!!!!! Ugh! The wait. The end does set up for the brothers book. We get resolution for our sweet couple and a nice set up for the next romance with the brother. I really can't wait to read all the family members books, they are fun group of people for sure.

Narrators - perfect. The male narrator had the best bayou accent. Swoonworthy. That accent paired with Josh's confident charm were just yummy. The female narrator was excellent as well. This was my first time for both of these narrators, and I was so happy with them.

I requested and received a free audiobook copy via #AudiobookObsession, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review. #AudiobookObsession Reviewer

Narration - both narrators do a great job!

Story - this is a very sweet and fun story. Whitney felt rejected years ago by Derek, but when he returns years later, sparks fly. You might get some second hand embarrassment from Whitney - she lays everything out there to Derek and embraces her vulnerability. They have an age gap, and the setting is clearly a Disney knock off. Their chemistry is instant, and certainly there’s some instant-love going on, but it’s a fun romp and well worth listening to!

Warning - the other books in the series aren't in audible!!! (Ugh!).

However, even though this is book 2, I don't feel you miss anything by reading it as stand alone. It seems book 1 focuses on a different couple, so you should be fine. I read this for a book club pick, and I really enjoyed it. Paisley said something pretty cruel, so part of me still holds a grudge because Jagger is absolutely perfect. However, their journey was sweet, and I loved it.

Narration - I loved Teddy's narration, however I wasn't a fan of Carly's. Her southern accent wasn't the best. I'm not deducting a star for it because I think it's unfair since we can't rate both narrators separately and Teddy's narration was perfect.

Dixon at her best

First, ignore the cover. I promise you the story is worth it. Dixon has a thing for these covers, and honestly, I blew her work off because of them for so long. Now, I've binged all her work and this series is the best of her work.

I expected to have a similar adventure story as in book 1 - going out and killing the other aspects, waging war, etc... But nope. Dixon is pretty creative, and we have a completely different story here. In some ways, it was a lot tamer - less battle, etc... but I think the connection between Rhagos and Max was so well done. They are different people and therefore their adventure would reflect that.

I loved Rhagos - maybe a smidge more than Aron. Regardless, this was a 5 star book and I cannot wait for the next one.
