Historia
In this timely and explosive book, philosopher and YouTuber Jonas Čeika (a.k.a. Cuck Philosophy) reinvigorates socialism for the 21st century. Leaving behind its past associations with bureaucracy and state tyranny, and its lifeless and drab theoretical accounts, Čeika instead uses the works of Marx and Nietzsche to reconnect socialism with its human element, presenting it as something not only affecting, but created by living, breathing, suffering human individuals.

A very necessary and lovely-written book
Revisado: 12-08-21
“Čeika did a really good job making his arguments,” was the first thing I thought of when I finished this book. It’s not supposed to fuse or synthesize together Nietzsche and Marx, as the author himself says, and I think the book is made the better for it. This book is more measuring the size/distance of a far object (in this case revolution, the improvement of our modern social relations and de-confusing ourselves from modern socio-political-economic dogma) by seeing it from two separate points, Nietzsche & Marx’s philosophies. The best thing about this book is building a bridge for fans of one of these philosophers to learn about the other, as some circles of both philosopher’s fans think there is a conflict, when really that conflict is due to Nazi vibes confusing us on Nietzsche and Stalinist vibes confusing us on Marx. The answers for humanity moving forward aren’t all here, but a good amount of the book aims well and hits true. Very happy I bought this on the recommendation of my buddy Dack, check out his YT channel “The Overwritten Report,” where we will probably talk a bit on this book one day maybe haha.

Historia
In The Reactionary Mind, Robin traces conservatism back to its roots in the reaction against the French Revolution. He argues that the right was inspired, and is still united, by its hostility to emancipating the lower orders. Some conservatives endorse the free market; others oppose it. Some criticize the state; others celebrate it. Underlying these differences is the impulse to defend power and privilege against movements demanding freedom and equality - while simultaneously making populist appeals to the masses.

All that’s missing is a Marxian class critique in this context
Revisado: 06-10-21
Simply excellent, a great shortcut to much knowledge on all this violent Right-wing nonsense. This world is a world built by the conservativism & reactionaries. They want hierarchy, not justice. Rich overlords, not less people above them. Someone to call the n-word, not for the dispossessed to do better. Remember that conservativism will always adopt popular language to serve power. US Democratic Party liberalism is partner here, not opposed. Winning with violence maintains status quo, not arguments, virtue or “how things should be.” If you are of the True Left, a socialist, a communist or whatnot you should read this book especially if you are married to any notions of nonviolence, “ideological diversity is best” & technology as progress. Also, f*** the police.

Historia
In a manifesto that renders all previous attempts at political satire obsolete, The Chapo Guide to Revolution shows you that you don’t have to side with either the pear-shaped vampires of the right or the craven, lanyard-wearing wonks of contemporary liberalism. These self-described “assholes from the Internet” offer a fully ironic ideology for all who feel politically hopeless and prefer broadsides and tirades to reasoned debate.

The boys (and that one chick, why is she missing?) should do another. This is good and they will probably leave it stand as the first and last, but following up to talk Biden, post-Biden, technology, more gaming, post-Trump conservatism, foreign policy, DSA, COVID, water becoming scarce, China, Elon Musk and more in the future (doesn’t have to be soon, but) would be dope!

Historia
For decades, it has been easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism. In the decade leading up to the 2008 financial crisis, booming banks, rising house prices, and cheap consumer goods propped up living standards in the rich world. Thirty years of rocketing debt and financial wizardry had masked the deep underlying fragility of finance-led growth, and in 2008 we were forced to pay up.

Read by the author herself too, quite a plus from this woman, covering in a brilliantly succinct fashion a very arcane topic.

Historia
Half a century after the Doomsday Battle, the uneasy balance of Dark Forest Deterrence keeps the Trisolaran invaders at bay. Earth enjoys unprecedented prosperity due to the infusion of Trisolaran knowledge. With human science advancing daily and the Trisolarans adopting Earth culture, it seems that the two civilizations will soon be able to coexist peacefully as equals, without the terrible threat of mutually assured annihilation. But the peace has also made humanity complacent.

This is the best fiction I have ever randomly decided to start, holy ****. I randomly typed in “best sci-fi” on Google, saw that this had a Chinese author, figured “never read/audio-booked anything by a Chinese author, why not” and JFC this was so good. What a ride, truly a master class in storytelling and a good hand-holding into high-level theoretical science.
