Historia
The guru to the gurus at last shares his knowledge with the rest of us. Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman's seminal studies in behavioral psychology, behavioral economics, and happiness studies have influenced numerous other authors, including Steven Pinker and Malcolm Gladwell. In Thinking, Fast and Slow, Kahneman at last offers his own, first book for the general public. It is a lucid and enlightening summary of his life's work. It will change the way you think about thinking. Two systems drive the way we think and make choices, Kahneman explains....

Simple/strong message too long storry
Revisado: 11-22-18
75% was repeating itself, 10% was novel and informative..
15% was well known facts - but put together and supported in a nice way though.
Anyway I did not feel I wasted my time completely - but I have read a couple of more usable and books - providing better more concrete advice on strategy/vision/direction (e.g. Good Strategy/Bad Strategy)..
The "Why" part - or I'll rather say "higher purpose" of your business is often questionable - not all companies can reasonable argue they are there for world peace, mankind or some higher purpose.. they can have a good product, position happy customers etc. and that is ok. The book tries to create a religious state - where every company should be like Apple or Tesla - changing the world to a better place - that is not realistic.

Greet theory - very insightful - but ..
Revisado: 03-07-18
Where does The Innovator's Solution rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Top 3, at least..
What did you like best about this story?
The theory of disruptive innovation but now addressed more like an opportunity and as a more manageable thing, than in the innovators dilemma.
This book covers a lot of aspects related to the theory, and provides guidance on how to predict maneuver and navigate when a situation is identified that fits the theory of disruption.
What about Joel Leffert’s performance did you like?
Solid and ok.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
A lot of thinking - but also a feeling that something is still missing
Any additional comments?
It is some excellent solid explained theories - but I still struggle with the bigger picture - after all this is a theory explanation that addresses situations where it fits.. many situations fits party; or there are other larger forces; or something else that blurs the picture..
E.g. a few things puzzles me ..
**Are you a feature? **
What if what you produce is actually an obvious- but yet non-existing or badly implemented feature of a larger product - e.g. smart meeting planner extension to office 365.
Are you the disruptive to office 365 - you solve a job that is not currently solved, you may have no competition - but you do position yourself in a space that the incumbent may see as important and attractive?
Many smaller startups are created this way - piggybacking on the success on larger software (or other industries) products - sometimes they are made irrelevant by improvements in the mother-product, sometimes they are purchased, sometimes the have a long and profitable life - but also a constrained existence.

Historia
There is no simple strategic method for dealing with the multidimensional nature of digital change. Even the sharpest leaders can become disoriented as change builds on change, leaving almost nothing certain. Yet to stand still is to fail. Enterprises and leaders must remaster themselves to succeed. Leaders must identify the key macro forces then lead their organizations at three distinct levels: industry, enterprise, and self. By doing this they can not only survive but clean up.

Not really interesting
Revisado: 02-11-18
Would you try another book from Mark Raskino and Graham Waller and/or Dana Hickox?
Not as my first choice - but it was kind of ok
What could Mark Raskino and Graham Waller have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Make it shorter and sharper - what are the main points and the diagnostics.
Which scene was your favorite?
not sure
Any additional comments?
Too much repeating and preaching - no really novel info and ideas.
However, if you are lost with a mindset dating 5-10 years back this may be helpful.
I have seen many books and presentations e.g. Good Strategy Bad Strategy, Innovators dilemma, Michael Porters presentations, and more that are strong and insightful.

Cleaver and spot on strategy misunderstandings
Revisado: 01-15-18
What made the experience of listening to Good Strategy/Bad Strategy the most enjoyable?
Tons of sharp examples, and solid argumentation - followed by wise advice how to do it right.
Other books addresses the same issue in different manners - but with focus on "Strategy" this is spot on.
What did you like best about this story?
Clear explanations and language - spot on criticism on the many sloppily used so called "strategies"
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
no .. much too long
Any additional comments?
A little bit too long; felt sometime repetitive - but non the leas a really great book for my collection.
