Historia
Diagnosed with ADHD at age twelve, Jessica struggled with a brain that she didn’t understand. She lost things constantly, couldn’t finish projects, and felt like she was putting more effort in than everyone around her while falling further and further behind. At thirty-two years old—broke, divorced, and living with her mom—Jessica decided to look more deeply into her ADHD challenges. She reached out to experts, devoured articles, and shared her discoveries on YouTube.

very relatable and funny

I've been following Jessica on YouTube for a while and this book was a great window into her life. I will be listening to it again to catch things I missed (I listened to it while nursing my 1 year old to sleep) . This book is jam packed with information! and lots of great anecdotes from her community. I'm so happy she wrote this ❤️ it has helped me begin to understand myself and give myself some grace

Historia
Babies don't automatically know how to sleep through the night; they need to be taught. The Sears family has learned from decades of pediatric practice, bolstered by their own parenting experiences, that different babies have different nighttime temperaments - and, of course, different families have different lifestyles. Instead of espousing the kind of "one method fits all" approach advocated in other baby sleep guides, the Sears family explains how you can create a sleep plan that suits the needs of your entire family.

good narration, especially for a book that is geared towards new moms who need gentle words of encouragement. I listened as I nursed my now 10 month old to sleep. Good to hear opinions from doctors that don't believe in the cry it out method - I also found some similarities with the Montessori style of parenting 😀 I was also happy to hear data and research referenced in the book.

facts!
Revisado: 05-26-22
I am currently 6 months pregnant 🤰 and work 65 hours a week. I was happy to find something that is narrated well and includes lots of credible information. No I did not fact check any of it but this is my first pregnancy and it did make me aware of many things that I had to beware of and gave me a sense of calm in other areas where I needed it 😁

great read! 📚

i truly was only interested in this book because of all the bad reviews. Now that I've finished it, I can say that they were wrong.
Yes, there is one chapter on being a black man in America but that's it.
There is no great big leftist ideology, it's a great story that reminded me to be grateful for my upbringing and the villages we all have.

Historia
Are you tired of feeling f*cked up? If you are, Gary John Bishop has the answer. In this straightforward handbook, he gives you the tools and advice you need to demolish the slag weighing you down and become the truly unf--ked version of yourself. "Wake up to the miracle you are," he directs. "Here's what you've forgotten: You're a f--king miracle of being." It isn't other people that are standing in your way; it isn't even your circumstances that are blocking your ability to thrive. It's yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself.

Surprisingly relatable to this 30 yr old
Revisado: 05-18-20
The author is amazing, I wanted something actionable and this was it. I am short on time (11 hour workdays, 6 days a week in a family business) and I didn't really get to listen to it all at once or on a consistent basis but the last few chapters (that I listened to altogether) were great! Gary John Bishop makes it easy to see what needs to be done and gives relatable examples. I didn't think I'd laugh out loud while listening to this book but I did that too =D

Historia
An insightful, candid, and inspiring memoir from Karamo Brown - Queer Eye’s beloved culture expert - as he shares his story for the first time, exploring how the challenges in his own life have allowed him to forever transform the lives of those in need. When Karamo Brown first auditioned for the casting directors of Netflix’s Queer Eye, he knew he wouldn’t win the role of culture expert by discussing art and theater. Instead, he decided to redefine what “culture” could - and should - mean for the show. He took a risk and declared, “I am culture.”
