The Fountainhead studies the conflict between artistic genius and social convention, a theme Ayn Rand later developed into the idealistic philosophy knows as Objectivism. 5*. The message alone is worth the time and money. Powerful like Atlas Shrugged but more concise.

As a big fan of Sherlock Holmes I thought A.C. Would be similar. This book was my introduction. The strong French accent of the voice actor made the stories hard to understand. His talent can’t be debated but I think the stories were convoluted already so the accent just made things unnecessarily difficult. I’ll try different stories before I call A.C. Inferior to sir A.C.D. But right not that’s the impression I’ve gotten

Interesting, informative, understandable
Revisado: 09-12-21
This book provides an understandable introduction to value investing. The magic formula, which the entire book is selling, seems to be value investing with a new label slapped on it. It also is pitched as a semi passive investment strategy but at the end it is described in detail and comes across as far less passive. I like that the information is easily understandable and much is useful for all investors, but the author comes across as patronizing at points. Finally, the audible version doesn’t provide the appendixes that the narrator mentions throughout the book.

One of the best stories ever written brought to life
Revisado: 06-24-21
Romance of the three kingdoms is a great story based on a real time period in Chinese history. Because it was written in Chinese so many years ago there is a lot that does not translate. Add to it cultural aspects and some parts can be pretty confusing. This podcast tells the story and explains things that would otherwise go unnoticed or misunderstood.
