A Great Read
Revisado: 11-14-03
This was deffinatly one of the best books I've read this year. Unlike most mystery titles, the story line wasn't overly predictable. This author has a way of grabbing my attention and holding it, and the narration by Scott Brick was just ausom. I highly recommend this one, and also Last Man Standing by the same author.

Historia
A seasoned photojournalist, Bess Grady has honed her craft in the trouble spots of the world. But witnessing the horrors of Somalia and Sarajevo hasn't prepared her for what waits in a small-town paradise - as an easy assignment turns into a desperate journey into fear. Sunlight bathes the town square. A balmy breeze is blowing. Yet nothing else is as it should be. The unimaginable has happened here, and Bess Grady and her sister Emily have unwittingly stumbled right into the middle of it. As chaos and confusion reign, Emily disappears, Bess is taken captive - and escape seems impossible.

Another great book from Iris Johansen
Revisado: 10-20-03
I have always enjoyed books by this author, but this one was quite outstanding. I had a hard time turning this one off once I got startted. The narrator also did a great job on this one, as she did on Critical Judgement, which was also a great read. If you are in to suspenseful mysteries then I suggest you check this one out.

Dr. Abby Dolan was on the fast track at a major San Francisco hospital when she made a critical choice: to follow her fiancé, Josh Wyler, to the picturesque California town of Patience, where he has a new job with manufacturing giant Colstar. Working in a small-town emergency room, knowing that her every move sparks gossip, Abby nonetheless begins to feel at home - until the first undiagnosable patients start showing up. Abby calls them NIWWs: No Idea What's Wrong. And despite her considerable skills, she can't crack these baffling cases. At the same time, Josh begins experiencing...

Absolutely one of Michael Palmers best. The book kept me hooked right up till the end, and the narrator delivered a great performance of this book. If you are in to medical thrillers, you should check this one out.
