Abby is a language genius who teaches and translates as well as being nanny to Simon's (single dad extraordinaire) 5 year old daughter. Simon is an investor looking to get the deal with a high profile restaurant. Not the ideal couple to fall into one another. A cliche even, single dad falling for that nanny. However, it never felt cliche. Their connection is so honest and believable. They share interests, listen to each other and actually know how to communicate.
The ability to talk to one another was a breath of fresh air. It was a wonderful change that there was no drama based on hiding things from one another. Actually there was low drama levels in general. That didn't take away from the heat of the story, if anything it increased it.
Love the author, love the narrators.

What does Angela Dawe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her voices, I know who is speaking before it is stated. Also the emotion she adds to the story in just the right places

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, it was hard to put down! Took me awhile to read only because of lack of time even though I kept making excuses to listen.

This was one of my absolute favourites of the series. I love the bears!! The den is amazing, I love how they have brought the outside into their space. All the characters in the bear clan were fun to learn about and have such personality. Also learning more about the Mercant family was fascinating. Silver is incredible, there is so much to say about her but it is hard to do without spoilers. Valentin makes for one of the best heroes in the series. He has been trying to woo Silver for months already at the start of the book without much success.

interim book, bridges the gap

Yes, but it is too long for that. I did continue to find reasons to turn the book on though!

I enjoyed this one more than I expected. Going into it I knew it was an interim book, bridging the gap between this series and the start of the next. I liked catching up with all the couples, and while a few parts were longer than necessary I wanted to hear how and what everyone was doing. Oh and of course the pup-cubs!! <3

Have you listened to any of Amy Landon’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not but I am looking for more of her work now. She did a wonderful job of sucking me into the story.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

This entire book is an emotional roller-coaster. It would be hard to to be moved. "Be as quiet as a mouse", and everything to do with the Velveteen Rabbit are some of my favourites.

This book was amazing to listen to. It was captivating, the narrator did an incredible job. I loved Mallory's story. She grew so much as a person and hearing how her past shaped her life and how she was working to move past it was beautiful.
Rider, oh Rider, I loved you most of the book and wanted to shake you at other moments. What a sexy artist he is. From a shared broken past their story is something special.
The side characters are also pretty well fleshed out and I wouldn't mind learning more about them still. Particularly Hector, Kiara, and Ainsley.
I highly recommend listening to this one!

Friends to lovers done right

This book had everything I was looking for. An incredible heroine in Harper, a 26 year old magician with such an amazing attitude. I want that girl for a friend! Paired with her is Nick, the sexy cartoonist. It was a friends to lovers story filled with humor and read by Sebastian York. What an amazing combination.

There was no real story

Would you try another book from C.M. Seabrook and/or Katy O'Leary?

No, I strongly disliked the narration and thought the book lacked an actual story.

What didn’t you like about Katy O'Leary’s performance?

The narrator was awful, she sounded like sex all the time and had no other animation.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Melting Steel?

Some of the never ending mediocre sex scenes, but then it would have been less than 2 hours long...

This was not a good audiobook.
The story was well not bad but it truly is an erotica novel so sex comes before everything else, including character development. The prologue was wonderful and for me it went downhill after. There was insta lova, and Henry's I found you, I will protect you, you are mine but I am going to keep all the secrets from you was extremely unrealistic and annoying. It had potential but was not a well fleshed out story.
I have no interest in reading anything else by this author or ever listening to the narrator again

Aiden is the leader for a reason

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was almost 16 hours long so that isn't doable for me however I did find myself finding more and more excuses to listen even if it was only for a few minutes.

Any additional comments?

I love Aiden and Ziara. This was a massive book to listen to. I loved how the details of prior books came into focus in this one and how alliances were formed. I liked learning about rainfire and how a pack begins. Can't wait to see where the series goes from here, I am hoping for some more changelings though! These last 3 psy stories have been wonderful but I am missing the changelings!

Weakest book by John Green

What does Jeff Woodman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He didn't have a lot to work with but his voice was good for narration. I liked his tone changes. I'm not sure I would have gotten through the book if I had been reading it.

That was a rather weak story. Filled with the word fugger, to get away with swearing in a teen novel. The characters reminded me of the main characters in Looking for Alaska by the same author. They fit into neat little stereotypical boxes.
I am happy it was a short book and that I got it on an audible sale or I wouldn't have bothered finishing it. There was nothing unique about the story, it was filled with a lot of talking and not a lot of plot or character development. While the idea of a mathematical formula that could predict relationships is kind of interesting it did not need to be an entire story.

The Silo

This was a 4 star book right up until the epilogue that really was a preview for the next book and served no purpose. That annoyed me enough to reevaluate my rating.

I liked both main characters and loved the concept of the Wicked Horse. Seeing the silo through Cali's eyes was one heck of an experience. The narration of both people was done well and I'd listen to them again.
