Historia
A queen now in exile as a traitor, Lara has watched Ithicana be conquered by her own father, helpless to do anything to stop the destruction. But when she learns her husband, Aren, has been captured in battle, Lara knows there is only one reason her father is keeping him alive: as bait for his traitorous daughter. And it is bait she fully intends to take. Risking her life to the Tempest Seas, Lara returns to Ithicana with a plan not only to free its king, but for liberating the Bridge Kingdom from her father’s clutches using his own weapons: the sisters whose lives she spared.

Amazing
Revisado: 10-28-20
I loved this series from start to finish. This book was non-stop action and so enthralling. I love the characters and their struggles. The narration is so genuine and believable. I would honestly change nothing about this book.

Historia
Abigail Swish's life is nothing to brag about: gang-ridden city, orphanage style accommodations, and a matron who's kinda on the evil side. Not that she has to worry about that for much longer. She'll turn 18 soon, and then it's goodbye compound, hello dangerous streets of New York City. Of course, as her luck would have it, she doesn't make it to 18 before her world is turned upside down. One ambushed meeting with an accent-bearing, sword-wielding stranger, and suddenly her entire life as she knows it is a lie.

Do yourself a favor, and READ THIS BOOK
Revisado: 05-31-18
I have just finished this series and I had to come back here and let everyone know that this book is a MUST READ. Every single book in the series is delightful and immersive. I have grown so attached to all the characters that I feel like I know them personally. The world building in this book is amazing, and the character growth and maturity is so realistic. Gosh I cant say enough good things about this series! You must start here! You'll regret it if you don't.

With Brace back by her side and the melding bond again secure, Abigail should be happier than ever. Right? Well, there's still that little rodent problem of hers. The Seventine. Six of the evil energy sucking entities are free and with the convergence fast approaching, there is no doubt that the final battle will be fought soon. All that stands between the Seventine and the end of the First World star-system is Abigail, the other half-Walker females and a gathering of races from across the worlds. Abigail has never had so much to lose.

A strong finish for an amazing series
Revisado: 05-31-18
I absolutely adore this series. I felt so empty when I finished this book. Like what am I supposed to do with my life now without Lucy's snarky retorts and Braces undying love?!!?! But wow this book really packed an emotional punch. I've grown so attached to these characters I do not want to let them go. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Definitely a series i will reread in the future. Super Abby for life!

I loved this series so much. the last book is just as good as the first. I love a good strong female lead that makes her own choices. The storyline was new and exciting and the relationships between characters were genuine and so endearing. MUST READ.

I absolutely loved this series. The quality of the storyline did not diminish at all through the series. The characters were so realistic, I have grown so attached to them. This book made me feel so many emotions like I was living in the world with them. ugh I'm so sad that it's over.

Can't get past Cameron's voice
Revisado: 04-24-17
What three words best describe the narrators’s performance?
Does not fit!
Any additional comments?
Sooo someone please tell me why a hard, spunky, street kid of 15 sounds like a soft spoken old lady!? Why oh why did they cast Cameron so terribly. All I could imagine was a grandma every time she spoke. Really drew away from her character. Also confused why they chose her of all people to add to the story. Would have much rather heard from Cal...

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Nope
Would you be willing to try another one of Bobbin Beam’s performances?
Definitely not
Any additional comments?
This book started out as your run of the mill vampire fantasy, but then quickly turned into something much much worse and much cheesier. The romance in this book tries way too hard and feels so underdeveloped. Made me cringe at times.
Not to mention the narrator sounded like an automated monotone throughout the whole book. No inflection, no excitement.

Historia
Danny North knew from early childhood that his family was different - and that he was different from them. While his cousins were learning how to create the things that commoners called fairies, ghosts, golems, trolls, werewolves, and other such miracles that were the heritage of the North family, Danny worried that he would never show a talent, never form an "outself"....

Interesting story but a bit much inner dialogue
Revisado: 01-06-17
Any additional comments?
The world and characters are definitely well developed and i really enjoyed the Norse mythology aspect. But the story had a little too much inner monologue for my taste. It was as if Orson wrote every possible thought that Danny was thinking as soon as it popped in his head while he was trying to figure out complex problems. :/

I really enjoyed these books! The story line had me from the very beginning. Unlike any other books I've read. Love all the historical references.
The narrator felt a little to whinny to me at times though. A little overacted, but hey, at least it wasn't monotone the whole time.

Historia
A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of very curious photographs. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets 16-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.

Jesse Bernstein brings this book to life! Storytelling at it's finest! You can tell which character is speaking by the sound of their voices.
