Historia
Thane Jordan reluctantly travels to England to settle his brother's estate only to find he's inherited much more than he could possibly have imagined. Lady Jemma Bryan has no desire to spend a single minute in Thane Jordan's insufferable presence much less live under the same roof with the handsome, arrogant American. Forced to choose between poverty or marriage to the man, she travels across an ocean and America to reach his ranch in Oregon.

great story horrible narration
Revisado: 09-26-20
The story kept you wondering what was going to happen next which is the only reason I made it through the book. the narrator couldn't stop smacking and licking her lips. was very distracting and annoying it sounded as if she was reading while having a snack.

Historia
Away from the frontlines of World War II, in towns and villages across Great Britain, ordinary women were playing a vital role in their country's war effort. As members of the Women's Institute, an organization with a presence in a third of Britain's villages, they ran canteens and knitted garments for troops, collected tons of rosehips and other herbs to replace medicines that couldn't be imported, and advised the government on issues ranging from evacuee housing to children's health to postwar reconstruction. But they are best known for making jam.

show is better than book for once
Revisado: 05-06-20
2 chapters on how and why it was wrote and how it became a show was like pulling my hair out. I watched the show and wished they would have finished it but. The book drags. it's sad because I live period books.
