Really liked it, will get the entire series!

This was the first book of the series for me. I got it because it was on special. I liked it so much I'm going to go back and get the entire series. Up to this point I have stuck to romance, the closest series to this that I have been following is the Charlie Davidson series by Darynda Jones. I love both series equally. So glad I got it! Well worth it!!

Couldn't stop listening!!

It can be challenging for me to find books I enjoy as much as this one. I'm so glad I chose it. I finished it in less than 24 hrs which was pretty good since it was also a bit of a busy 24 hrs. It was difficult to pull away and stop listening. I enjoyed the narrator, I thought she was perfect for this book. The most moving scene? That's a challenge to answer because I enjoyed the entire book so much. Maybe it was the anger I felt for the character's parents when they kicked her out for getting pregnant. I vehemently disagree with a move like that. I found the book to be sexy, hot, funny ( I laughed quite a few times), and I loved the bonds all of the characters formed with each other. The book does have some violence, fowl language, and heart breaking moments in it. It also has some racy sex scenes. I consider this one to be for adults only.

What did you love best about King?

His passion and attraction for and to Doe.

What did you like best about this story?

The dynamics of the relationship between King and Doe, steamy, sexy, they couldn't resist each other.

What about Molly Glenmore and Rob Shapiro ’s performance did you like?

The characters came to life with their performances. I could see it play out as if I were watching a movie.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Doe leaves to go be with her family. It was so sad. Also when I thought King was going to get killed at the end.

Loved the story-line!

What made the experience of listening to Tyrant the most enjoyable?

The narrators were really good and the story-line was great.

What did you like best about this story?

The relationship between King and Doe.

Which scene was your favorite?

King broke free of his binds to save Doe and his unborn child.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I just loved listening to it. It was hot, steamy, sexy, and action-packed.

Good story but don't like the narrator at all.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would with warning of the narrator. I might recommend reading it instead.

What did you like best about this story?

The story-line itself.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

If this book had a much better narrator it would have even better scores. This narrator was just cheesy.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If it weren't for the narrator yes it would have been.

I HIGHLY recommend NOT using this narrator again. I will probably eventually listen to the 2nd book in the series even though its the same narrator because as I said I did like the story itself.

Sexy, hot, exciting

What other book might you compare Reaper's Property to and why?

Maybe "King" by T.M. Frazier. Hot Alpha male drawing in a woman who is in a situation out of her control. Same type of passion and sexiness.

What does Stella Bloom bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The humor, she was great at bringing about the humor.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My husband is in the Army Reserves but also served active duty in the Marines for 4 years. He is currently deployed to Afghanistan on his 3rd deployment since we've been together. The character that died while serving in Afghanistan was especially difficult for me, I did cry during much of the scene.

I did laugh a few times through-out the book.

Any additional comments?

Just that I couldn't stop listening to it, I stayed up to late last-night because I just couldn't shut it off.

What did you love best about First Grave on the Right?

Reyes Farrow and the humor.

What other book might you compare First Grave on the Right to and why?

Really can't think of any that I have read, the humor, the hot scenes and the super natural theme really work for this book.

Which character – as performed by Lorelei King – was your favorite?

The dead people.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Charlie's stepmother slapped her when she was very young and the way she treats her in general.

I really liked this book, someone else said it was "a witty combination of cliches and stereotypes" and I think thats a really good description of this book. Its been a while since I couldn't stop listening, now the last 2 books (this one included) were exactly that and I love it when that happens.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Color of Light to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the print version but I do think that Jennifer Ikeda, the main narrator was absolutely perfect for this particular book, I loved the way she narrated it. So maybe for that reason it may be better. The narrator can make it better or worse and I very much suspect that Jennifer Ikeda made it better.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Color of Light?

There were a few parts of the book in which my eyes watered quite a bit, I don't want to give it away so I won't get into it. Also the way that a few of the characters treat Tess is really despicable. The dance scene with Tess and Rafe was great. I enjoyed Tess's friends, they really helped to make the story.

What about Simon Slater and Jennifer Ikeda ’s performance did you like?

They fit their parts so perfectly the way that they narrated them. I couldn't imagine anyone else doing Jennifer Ikeda's narration. Simon was also very good, his narration was some of the parts that brought me to tears.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I got through it pretty quickly for being as long as it was.

Any additional comments?

I LOVED this story. Possibly part of the reason I loved it so much was because I like romance, vampire stories and I have always had an interest in and been passionate about Art, especially the type of Art that is focused on in this book, I think its my favorite. Some people gave this fewer stars and I'm not sure why but at the same time I'm sure there are stories in which they gave 5 stars that I would give less. Also I saw someone say it was porn, lol. This was probably one of the most tame books I have read while still having sex scenes in it, it was pretty tame compared to some of the other books I read. I hate to see what they think of those books, lol.

Would you listen to At Wolf Ranch again? Why?

Not sure, I liked it OK but I have listened to other stories that I was much more into. I think its relative. Someone that may love this novel may not be crazy about a novel I absolutely love. Since I have started using Audible I am finding that I seem to lean towards and enjoy the Fantasy romance type novels and this is not in that category. I CAN say that I think I can understand why some people may really enjoy it. I found a few of the lines to come across to me as kind of cheesy but again its probably all relative and someone who loves this novel could probably say that same thing about a book I love. I also want to include that this novel did absolutely have my eyes watering on more than one occasion. I did really like the ending. I read one review in which someone felt this Novel was to pornographic which again is a relative thing. It did have some scenes which are definitely for adults only but honestly I have read and enjoyed books that would probably be considered to be much worse.

Would you be willing to try another book from Jennifer Ryan? Why or why not?

Not sure, I seem to like Fantasy Romance the best so I don't know if I would want to get another book that I may not enjoy as much. I think she's good for people who like her kind of books, they seem to love them. I think she does do a good job with her descriptions of people, things, places, situations and so on. I also like how she seemed to be setting up a little bit for the next book in this one.

What about Coleen Marlo’s performance did you like?

I think she was perfect, wonderful, beyond great!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes quite a few and I don't really want to get into it to much because it could spoil it for those who decided to get this book.
