Historia
High conflict is what happens when discord distills into a good-versus-evil kind of feud, the kind with an us and a them. In this state, the brain behaves differently. We feel increasingly certain of our own superiority, and everything we do to try to end the conflict, usually makes it worse. Eventually, we can start to mimic the behavior of our adversaries, harming what we hold most dear. In this book, New York Times bestselling author and award-winning journalist Amanda Ripley investigates how good people get captured by high conflict—and how they break free.

Historia
The drought - or the Tap-Out, as everyone calls it - has been going on for a while now. Everyone’s lives have become an endless list of don’ts: don’t water the lawn, don’t fill up your pool, don’t take long showers. Until the taps run dry. Suddenly, Alyssa’s quiet suburban street spirals into a warzone of desperation; neighbors and families turned against each other on the hunt for water. And when her parents don’t return and her life - and the life of her brother - is threatened, Alyssa has to make impossible choices if she’s going to survive.

Historia
Does working from home—or anywhere else but the office—make sense? In Remote, Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson, the founders of Basecamp, bring new insight to the hotly debated argument. While providing a complete overview of remote work’s challenges, Jason and David persuasively argue that, often, the advantages of working “off-site” far outweigh the drawbacks.

Pros of working from home
Revisado: 04-23-14
Would you consider the audio edition of Remote to be better than the print version?
Audio and paper(digital) version basically offers the same...
What was one of the most memorable moments of Remote?
I liked that this is by someone who practices rather than simply preach.

A story of someone who made a life change
Revisado: 04-23-14
Would you try another book from Tom Rath and/or Tom Rath?
Probably not. I felt he had to say what he needed here and anything else would just be repeating with different words.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Eat Move Sleep?
Its a good point that many small changes can lead to great change.

Good story but seems a bit forced...
Revisado: 04-23-14
Where does Ender's Shadow rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Its good entertainment if you liked Enders Game.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
The amount of detail and dept seems greater in Enders Game, giving it a bit of sequel flavor...
Any additional comments?
Do not read this without reading Enders Game. Without that as context there are to many loose ends...

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Large and complex
Revisado: 04-23-14
Where does The Way of Kings rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This was a great and complex story.
Who was your favorite character and why?
There are many interesting characters, but I think you need to read the second book to understand why so many seemingly unrelated stories needs to be told.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
Different narrators pronounce names differently is a bit amateur. They should talk this over before narrating the book.
Any additional comments?

Better than I would have thought
Revisado: 03-21-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Its quite good simple entertainment.
What about Tom Patrick Stephens’s performance did you like?
He did quite well.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Not so much - it is a fairly simple book, and while its a good story it lacks the level to become really inspirational.
