Historia
At the heart of The Good Son is the most important relationship in JFK, Jr.'s life: that with his mother, the beautiful and mysterious Jackie Kennedy Onassis. Andersen explores his reactions to his mother's post-Dallas suicidal depression and growing dependence on prescription drugs (as well as men); how Jackie felt about the women in her son's life, from Madonna and Sarah Jessica Parker, to Daryl Hannah and Carolyn Bessette, to his turbulent marriage.

Good Son, Bad Book
Revisado: 11-01-14
What would have made The Good Son better?
The author posited complete knowledge of intimate conversations all through the book. He needs his view to be more believable. He outed the most salacious things about everyone without substantial backing, How he knew about actions, complete conversations, thoughts etc. was/is totally questionable.
Has The Good Son turned you off from other books in this genre?
Unless I know the author, yes.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Robertson Dean?
Yes
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Just hearing the timeline of the Kennedys was touching and desperately sad.

Historia
The Goldfinch is a haunted odyssey through present-day America and a drama of enthralling force and acuity. It begins with a boy. Theo Decker, a 13-year-old New Yorker, miraculously survives an accident that kills his mother. Abandoned by his father, Theo is taken in by the family of a wealthy friend. Bewildered by his strange new home on Park Avenue, disturbed by schoolmates who don't know how to talk to him, and tormented above all by his unbearable longing for his mother, he clings to one thing that reminds him of her: a small, mysteriously captivating painting that ultimately draws Theo into the underworld of art.

Fascinating and Engaging
Revisado: 02-10-14
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I will recommend it; with the warning about the heavy dialect used for the Russian character. Too vaudeville and grating.
If you’ve listened to books by Donna Tartt before, how does this one compare?
First book of hers I have read; I intend to listen to her other books.
What didn’t you like about David Pittu’s performance?
For the most part: the voice of the narrator was on the mark; but too much effort was put into the Russian character. Too much Bullwinkle.
Did The Goldfinch inspire you to do anything?
I will recommend the book and I definitely will read her other books

Historia
One sparkling summer day, Jill Abramson brought home a nine-week-old golden retriever named Scout. Over the following year, as she and her husband raised their adorable new puppy, Abramson wrote a hugely popular column for The New York Times's website about the joys and challenges of training this rambunctious addition to their family. Dog-lovers from across the country inundated her with e-mails and letters, and the photos they sent in of their own dogs became the most visited photo album on the Times's site in 2009.
