I hated this book. It went on and on and was so boring. It felt like the author was trying to be poetic all the time, had way overused the thesaurus, and was just generally so pretentious. The ending felt very cliche. Like an overwrought writing workshop exercise. Everyone is unlikeable except the cat. Don’t bother!

Obnoxious voice and style. The story is the classic and is great, but the reader made it a pain to listen to.
